I used an older version of visio to make detailed shop drawings for door and millwork at my work, my employer upgraded my computer to Windows 10 and visio 2019. I do not need shapes or templates, i just need to make detailed dimensioned drawings. Can i do that with this version? Please help.

If I want to buy my own copy of Visio, but im a network engineer who uses vendor stencils... Can I use Standard or do I need Professional? I'm a really simple user... Insert stencils, lines, and text boxes... Will standard work for me?

Visio is sold stand-alone as Visio Professional.

You know why I hate this video? Because it sucks to categorize Visio as "you can draw diagrams with it" or putting this absolutely minor feature of drawing diagrams as "most important". Visio is the best 2D drawing tool ever. It's by far better than any CorelDraw version. I create every kind of technical part with it to look more realistic in color than any 3D CAD tool can. You can use it, for instance, to create full sized views of an IT rack and all of its components. This is what Visio should stand for, not lousy flow charts.
