Man! Pebble was a dream for me. I live in India and I've always wanted one when I was in high school. When I could finally afford one , they discontinued it. I'm definitely gonna get one when a friend or family comes to India from US. There are four strains of Dengue being one of the the Hemorrhagic one. Usually it's the last one to enter a region so be careful the next time you visit the place you caught it. I'm from Brazil and dengue is always around but the city I live never had a large outbreak. My brother had it and it's annoying and require care - and one should NOT take aspirin because whenever there's a chance it's Dengue because if it's the hemorrhagic one Aspirin will be really bad (it's a blood thinner).

Imo, the reason watches based on e-ink displays haven't gained popularity is probably because the screen needs to refresh at least every second or every minute (at least), which makes it difficult to achieve truly low power consumption and long battery life.

Competition is good. Also they probably prefer intel for many reasons IDK, or they have a partnership with intel that make CPUs cheaper for large patches.

They used them a few times. While not 100% certain the main reason is that AMD is supply constrained with what they have bought from TSMC. Their 4nm fabs are used for laptop APU’s, GPU’s, Server CPU’s and AI GPU’s. This is why it takes Ryzen laptop APU’s a while to appear on the market. For example Strix Point was launched at the end of June 24, and there are few models for sale here in Australia.

@@arch1107 not entirely, I believe they are only using TSMC for some tiles in Lunar Lake, with the majority of their lineup using their own fabs, hence more capacity. While AMD is gaining market share in the laptop space, Intel does have a lot more staff, and actually designs a lot of the laptop chassis. Currently AMD has good relationships with ASUS and a few others. Dell is finally using some new Ryzen APU’s in their new lineup. Also if you look at the corporate sector, such as latitudes and probooks, it is dominated by Intel. Lenovo is the only one that has a decent range AMD powered thinkpads and thinkbooks.

I like Surface devices, own several of 'em myself. Still don't know where the premium price coming from. Is it the lack of ports? Removal of the helpful right click key (yeah Idk what it's really called) in favor of the stupid Copilot key?The lack of chipset manufacturer's stickers? the lack of efficient cooling and loud fans? They even ditch the 'premium' magnesium alloy material and opt for plain ol' aluminum. The only caveat from their new machines that I can see is the Laptop line having 1 USB A and 2 USB C. far more useful than the config my Laptop 3 has.

I wish you better researched some topics, like what the Deepseek models were (v3 and r1), for which model it was referring to (v3), for what (the final training run thus not including wages, experiments, unsuccessful runs, etc). Similar thing with Boom. Why would it be bad for the environment?
