Microsoft Word - Can't Zoom Past Two Pages

This morning I suddenly had the annoying problem of not being able to zoom further down than two pages. I could read and edit the pages fine, it was just that I wasn't able to view a single page - it was always two pages.
It turns out that I had somehow hit a menu button in the View table that caused pages to be viewed "Side by Side". When I clicked on the "Vertical" button everything was back to normal. Another example of a feature I don't use causing me trouble.
Note that I am using Microsoft Word 360 on a PC.
