Hey man was wondering if u could help me out I’m running the same setup with megasquirt but I’m not getting and pulse from spark output c and d to my coils is there something special you did in your settings to get it to work and are you running wasted spark or cop in the settings?

You have to wire cyl 1 and 4 to same output and 2 and 3 to same. Wasted spark means exactly what it says. It will spark on exhaust which is wasted when other cylinder sparks on compression.

I have an s14 KA24DE in my s13, I kept the s14 harness. Most people don't but I rigged up my own wiring for the ECU to get power. Is getting the microsquirt worth it for future tunes when going turbo? I was thinking on getting a haltech 550 but I know the microsquirt is cheaper and It seems good

if price is a variable, then ms. If not haltech. It is an investment as the standalone can move with you to another setup.

With N/A it's just like Tuning without a turbo ? You start with a rich AFR 12.5 and lean out in cruise and richen high rpm/load with timing being adjusted after fuel ? (Going by egt's and iats) ? Car does sound better. I always say the KA is a low to mid sounding , and the Sr would be mid to high. All good sounding engines though.

For the most part yes. You just will never see boost. Since I am using my old KA tune, it was pretty decent. idle 14-15 cruising 15 wot 13...so base map for na done. When turbo, just need to tune boosted parts.

Do u have the IAT sensor? And what did u do for the map sensor?

Yes, you need IAT with squirt. Map was a 4 bar GM sensor.

This is a wasted spark setup. Cyl 1/4 connect to Spark A and 2/3 connect to Spark B.

Thanks for the quick response. Not sure how I missed it during your video, I realize now you're running altima coils. I'm trying to get the k series 3 wire coils to fire from the mspnp2 but having issues.

Sadly still at a standstill. After finishing the KA, I started doing a bathroom renovation for my mother in law. That is done but now I have to do my spare bathroom. The honey do list takes priority over the 240. But I just need to finish intake, some wiring, and should be good to go. Hopefully by Xmas, I will have her started.

supakat500 thanks bro. Glad the world still has ppl who help others. I’m following the manuals and some like you and Andy whittle. Tuning it from scratch. I’d like to see the msq for reference on ve tables Accel enrichment and cranking pw.

@@sdshakazulu4268 Fareal. The world would be a better place rather than saying pay me...Andy's idle tuning really helped me out. From tuning my KA about 8 years ago to just doing my VQ tune, I can see the difference in the original tune. I want to clean up this KA tune and use it for the world.

I have read about them as well. Although I like to learn new things, MS is tried and true for me. From MSPNP2, MS3X, and now MicroSquirt, I have never had an issue. This setup is running way better hands down than my KA. Could be firmware, high comp, or high z injectors, I will ultimately find out once we boost this bitch...
