My first Microtech was the MSI this year and I have been pleasantly impressed by the build. It looks like it might not be tough, but it is built like a tank and has great action. I still love my Benchmade Osborne 940, but the rest of Benchmade I just don't get the $ for the quality now.

MSI is my favorite EDC carry it everyday. Running mine on skiff bearings with original goat scales and a lynch NW pocket clip.

Been contemplating buying a msi, but since i started doing a bit of research and found all these videos on how the ram lock is failing i got scared. So if i do get one it would be solely based on this video where you state that the issue has been addressed and fixed by microtech,so are you 100% sure that this issue has been fixed by microtech?

Very encouraging to see someone actually doing research before buying a $200 knife, you'd be surprised at how many just buy something and realize there's an issue afterwards! (I'm not entirely innocent of this either) To my knowledge Microtech never made a statement about fixing the issue but it seems sometime around the September/October 2023 mark people stopped having issues with the lock failure. Like you, I was very concerned about this before buying the ram loks I have and it put me off for a few months until I was able to get my hands on one in store. I have all October 2023 and later production and I absolutely love them with 0 lock problems. That being said there was also a design change you will notice that happened around that time where the crossbar piece of the lock is a lot more narrow than it was when they were originally released leading people to believe that the issue was likely related to this and was fixed. If you go onto some aftermarket scales websites and look at MSI scales you'll notice that they have 2 different sets of scales, 1 for the older release with the wider crossbar and 1 for the newer narrow version. I guess I cannot be 100% certain that they fixed the issue as they never made a public statement about it, but what i can tell you is that myself and many others believe the issues have been fixed just through personal experience and observation of the new designs. If that isn't convincing enough for you, I might suggest looking up MSI lock failure reddit or checking out some KZbin videos comparing the old and new designs of the lock and that might make you feel a little better. Have you ordered anything from freedom knife shop? They seem to be legitimate but there’s not a whole lot of information about there on them. They have great prices so I don’t want to get into a too good to be true situation

Yes I have, you will not go wrong ordering from them! if you're hesitant when looking at ordering from a particular store don't be afraid to ask here, or you can usually just type in the name of the store followed by Reddit and see if people have experiences with them on there. Looking into getting a carbon fiber Bel Air from them soon!

@@DXSharpening no sure I’ve used it as a pry even tho your not supposed to pulled and cut staples. And my blade hasn’t shipped or rolled and it still cuts msi feel like I might break the blade

MSI can't compete with the Adamas. MSI is a edc and Adamas is military grade.

Might have to disagree with you there, I think the main difference in your point would be the Adamas with full liners vs the MSI with partial + backspacer... otherwise they're both incredibly durable
