I love my microtech! I have a rare UMS Ultratech with the tanto blade. I carried a benchmade infidel for years. As soon as I held the microtech, that was it, I was sold it’s my new EDC great video.!!

The only difference between the UMS Ultratech and the regular is it has a gray microtech symbol instead of bright white with the date below it, and the letters UMS above it with with m390 steel which I believe they all come with today. They only use high-quality steel on these flagship knives i used to carry spearpoint but after falling in love with that armor piercing tanto I’m kind of sold on it

I love Benchmade knives but when it comes to an OTF I think MicroTech takes the cake!

The tanto blade is definitely more practical!

I love Benchmade as well, but you’re right as far as OTF’s go microtech has a first superior mechanism. My infidel was not a good every day carry knife. I had the full size it would not eject and lock up at certain times I had it taken in to the knife shop and factory. I’m not an expert and I know certain knives can come with their flaws, but for me, the microtech was always the knife I wanted but could never buy for at least ten years or so. I honestly am not a huge fan of tanto blades I’m not used to them I don’t know their strength and weaknesses. I would honestly rather have a spearpoint. The drop point is beautiful and much easier to sharpen than the tanto. Let me know what you think of tanto blades and why they’re practical please?

iOS 17.2 beta forced, about 13 spelling mistakes and the worst punctuation, auto correcting that comment. Unbelievable

Does this finish appear darker than stonewash in person? Great video

Yes I would say so. It’s more noticeable to the eye at a distance.

I’ll make a video comparing the two for better clarity.
