Did yours come sharp? I hand sharpen knives and mine was fairly dull. With MagnaCut you’re losing edge retention. The edge retention is similar to S30V. I prefer M390 over this. Just my two cents.

If you haven’t figured it out yet that spring creak is just a lube thing. Mine does that when it’s dry

How sharp is the thumb switch? I've got an Ultratech Sith Lord that has an unusually sharp button that cuts into my thumb not than other Ultratechs or UTX-85s.

I don’t find it sharp at all. What I have found though is that on my Dirac Delta the black coated thumb switch is sometimes a bit slippery and not aggressive enough.

My unit fails the paper cutting test on he other side of the blade. Cpuld you check your unit if it's the same as mine? Thanks

It’s comical that people expect a double edge blade from an ultratech to cut like a razor. Just ain’t gonna happen. Geometry isn’t there for a slicer. Get something else if you actually want to cut something with it.
