Lance, you are an awesome flutist. That was great. I heard all of the extended techniques. An interesting piece for sure.

If I'm honest I'd rather hear the standard repertoire. But if I have to listen to contemporary it's you I want to hear. You are very gifted. Fight On! ;-)

would you consider doing a video explaining some of these techniques in more detail?

Would love this, please include how to write or in sheet music as well

Great idea! 🤔 Are there any other extended techniques you’d like to learn more about?

@@LanceSuzuki I am only a beginner in playing flute, so I’m not ready for these techniques yet, but I primarily focus on composing, so any extended techniques are interesting for me to learn about.

@@LanceSuzuki me personally multiphonics and microtonal playing. For multiphonics, exercises and ways to develop the technique. For microtonal, specifically how to develop a controlled sound, not just playing a little sharper and calling microtonal playing. Thanks for replying :)

That was amazing! Was it hard to master? By the way, the trillium is the provincial flower of Ontario 🇨🇦

Thanks, Suzanne! Wow! I didn’t know that about 🇨🇦 It’s great to know! This piece took some time to marinate and memorize the fingerings but worth it in the end!

Have you ever played the great train race I would love to learn to play it

That’s another one I would love to learn! I heard Jasmine play it live a few years back and it was amazing. You should give it a shot!
