Yes there are many ways to reuse that glass plate. I use them as a drip tray for house plants. Great info. I really appreciate you sharing your knowledge and processes. 🙂

Thank you so much for your feedback. I had not thought of drip trays, that’s a great idea. Feel free to make comments like this about all sorts of uses for what can be reused. I really want to promote a community of recycling here. Thanks again!

Thanks Henry. It’s good to see young people interested in this type of thing but please be careful and research the hazards of scraping so you can be safe. I might post a safety video later today to address some of the issues. Thanks for the comment and good luck with your channel!

@@IndustrialPermaculture don’t worry microwaves are a little bit out of my range for the moment I’ll stick to outdated electronics instead :)
@IndustrialPermaculture Жыл бұрын
Some of those older electronic equipment have some pretty horrible chemicals in them as well. They came from a time when we didn’t know as much as now and only trained people serviced them. I’m not trying to cramp your style, just trying to look out for you. Keep on with your videos because those old military units so interesting. Love your work.

I have the same microwave. Can I replace the switch/buttons membrane/panel with anything that's available?
@IndustrialPermaculture4 ай бұрын
Interesting question. I’ve never repaired a microwave before because they are so cheap to buy. Anything that has 240 volts should be treated very carefully (even if the control area is technically not 240v it controls the area that is). I wouldn’t do it unless it was to experiment with and it wasn’t going to be used for cooking food anymore.

Hi good video, looks like common fault is the ceramic fuse on it, could you tell me what is the actual amp on the fuse? Please help a blind guy 😅

Was working on one of these (exact same model). The touch pad was not processing inputs, only a few triggered beeping sounds. Unit powers on okay, but even the start button/pad won't initiate heating. I've cleaned the pcb board with isopropyal alcohol, removed/reinserted (properly) the ribbon cable, but no improvement. Anything else worthwhile doing (to get it powering on)? Or just dump it?

Have you done any troubleshooting on the unit yet?
