I am loving your tutorials. I've watched enough magic, and enough reveals, that I can guess the "trick" for most of these before you show it. But then I watch the tutorial, and I see all the pieces that I missed that get things into a place where that "trick" is believable -- and, even though I'm probably not going to ever practice this enough to do it myself, it gives me a whole new level of appreciation for the art and what goes into a really good performance.

Make it fire into your fist! Genius! I've been making linked rubber bands for decades and performing with them but your handling is superior to what I came up with. Technical note: Cyanoacrylate adhesives (super glues) are catalyzed by water so as soon as you open a tube and atmospheric moisture enters the tube the bond strength begins to drop. For the best linked bands use a new tube of glue and, like you said, make a batch of them!

So amazing! Thanks for the share and the info about the blog! Btw you might want to play with shooting at a higher aperture so more of your shot is in focus. I have noticed in your videos that some of the details can get lost because the shot is almost too shallow. Just a friendly piece of feedback to try to go up a few stops and then up your light source to get things properly exposed. Amazing stuff, love how you explain things!

Super Glue dries fairly slow. You can buy a spray accelerant if you are having trouble. Baking soda also speeds it up but it might make the seam obvious

In case it hasn’t already been suggested, having a small pile of the shooter colour of bands on the table and drawing from that to make your ‘gun’ means that you can ditch it in plain sight!

Great!Easier than Extreme Rubber band dvd by L&L publishing.Why I avoid most band tricks.But souvenir linking band tricks have refills for$10 to $15 for those not willing to make.

Dude ! What an awesome tutorial ! Thank you for sharing this with us, you can do so much with those linking rubber bands... I got the idea of take two rubber bands, do a switch for the two linking ones, place them into the spectator's hand, and then, boom, the bands fused in their own hands, and I would explain that the heat of the hand blah blah blah lol P.S : Everyone is like LUX will change the world of magic, so I'm so hype lmao !!! Absolutely not. I’ve been using home made linked rubber bands for over 10 years in the real world. In fact, I’ve taken them and used them in every country I’ve travelled to. These are quite literally the opposite of social media tricks because they’re ultra practical. You just need to try it.

Since the eyes can only see 7 to 12 frames per second on a video. The two rubber bands attached you can see between your fingers. With slow motion you can see the pistol rubber band fly by.
