So much movement! This time, I was struck by the large impact of the very small markings which reveal white, & how those marks seem highlighted by the cream colored scaffolding. Love it.

Oh Wow. I initially thougjt that the blue transparant layer didn't do much, but when you added the white mottled layer... it was all brought together. There is a certain beauty with the different effects of all the combined layers. You should be very proud of this work.

I use to clean my brayers with pure Acetone. It cleans them, but I now let them build up with paint and peel the skins off easily and my brayers return like new. With the Acetone, buy from CVS in beauty department, I wasn't sure of long term effect on brayer rubber, but it will clean them. Use a soft cotton ball or quilting cotton works better.

Great video! Thank you! About the inking and placing the stencils, what comes first? It depends on the spaces one decides to mask and the spaces one wants to show. I say this as a gel plate printmaker. Both methods are fine.

If you ink your plate before putting the stencils on you’d get a whole different look than your usual look that you’re known for. I also prefer to lay out the stencils and ink over them.

And a completely different type of residual or ghost image! Experimentation is at least 50% of the fun of gel printing! There are so many variables to sort.

I love your videos! Your techniques are wonderful! I wonder how this would have turned out if you started with the yellow color and then progressed with the red ochre and then the phthalo? Do you think it would have made a huge difference? I do! I like the way you scribble into the paint... and the contrast of the round and squarish motifs

Great print… what would happen if you don’t clean the stencils could you not re-use them than ⁉️

It would be a messy business because acrylic builds up quickly and could result in the stencil losing its flexible qualities. It also looks terrible during filming.

I recommend: use metal tweezers to pick up the template. This does not damage the Gel plate.

With regards to cleaning the brayers, I tried soapy water but the paint is stuck to the brayers and it didn't work, alcohol seemed to e corrosive, maybe it's time to get new ones😮😂

Many viewers swear by Murphys Oil Soap, it doesn't work for me, but then again I print almost everyday, so I am a very heavy user of tools. You can try Murphys and soak the bracers overnight.
