Hey! I actually had one these beauties. My younger brother took the key and began to wind it so tight, my Mom never had it fixed. It was hung on the wall for its uniqueness and eventually donated to Salvation Army.😢Interesting facts I never knew!❤️🦔

What a lovely clock! Hearing any of these masterpieces chime takes me back to my early youth and being in our small hometown library. I can still feel the joy that this sound brings to mind whenever the old grandfather clock chimed out the time and the fun and security of being in one of my favorite places...the library. I wish you were closer. I need help with two old Regulators that don't work. One is a 1909 school clock that my dad found at a business liquidation for $12. Gorgeous thing, and has worked since he got it in about 1960 till last year. I don't trust taking it to just anyone.

Loved the video . I grew up with grandfather clocks and German Cuckoo clocks in the house it changes the whole atmosphere of the house . I currently have a grandfather clock with Japenese motifs my parents bought in the 70s it was old when they got it . Not currently running I need to wind it and have it cleaned . The clock is really pretty. It's simple with the beautiful wood and who doesn't like champagne. The color always has a warmth to it. I have what I call a old farm clock. Not worth anything but I like it because back in the day people didn't have a lot of money so being able to get a mantle clock was probably very special for them. When I look at it, it makes me think of how someone took good care of it and felt proud to own it. You have that same feeling about yours, very proud of them. God bless you for taking care of them and giving them a home.

I have never seen this type of beautiful clock. The frame of the clock is more beautiful than the clocks I have seen. When it plays the hour strike as a sequence of a single note followed by a chord it is very very pleasant and enjoyable to hear. Even some quartz clocks too electronically reproduces the same sound of strike sequence but such quartz clocks are not so beautiful to look at as this clock.
