I do, but very limited. They are just too fragile to work on for free. I don't charge people for any repairs to their clocks. I get so much satisfaction out of keeping their history and memories alive for their owners.

We checked with the Governor's office. Diving is legal in New Jersey. I have had police cars sitting right next to my car when I dive. They do that to make sure I am not illegally dumping in the dumpster.

With few exceptions, yes you can replace the plastic box on the back. I just looked at Walmart.com. There are hundreds of them starting at $4.61.

I have fixed a few Rhythm clocks in the past. Every time it was a worn or broken plastic piece. I can't promise, but I can try. I don't know where to get new parts so I must repair what is there. [e-mail]

Do you repair watches? I have an antique gold filled 17 jewel pocket watch that I bought for my youngest son. It doesn't work. I'm not sure what's wrong with it. I would rather give the money to someone I feel I can trust, than just a stranger.

Trish, all I can promise anyone is that I try to repair watches. I have fixed several and I can usually tell someone what they might need for repairs, but my clock repair tools, and my patience don't allow me to repair many of the very small gears and springs that wear out in watches. I have a nice collection of disassembled watches that is increasing in size all the time.

Hey i got a question is it a problem if the gong in my cuckoo clock goes after the cuckoo?

Hi. It is supposed to. The clock should go... Cuckoo, gong, cuckoo, gong,.... If you don't like the gong, you can bend the hammer a bit so it doesn't hit the gong.

At first I was a bit creped out. But really interesting collection. I did not know there were some small windups that would do other things. Very unique. My father always had a Big Ben on nightstand. I guess his whole adult life that was what he relied on. The sound never leaves my mind.
