This might be the greatest nightstand design I've seen. Mid-century modern but with two generous drawers and the 3D-hexagons seal the deal!

Very nice design with hexagons and I love the ink application! I can't tell you the last time I've seen someone use wood slides, maybe never. I think they're a great and expense way while paying homage to old ways. I really appreciate how thorough you are in your videos, please keep it up!

I'm a big fan of MCM design and this is just beautiful -- love the contrast, 3D hex fronts, and great tip about India Ink. I also really like the scale of the piece. For me, your videos are the perfect balance of instruction and artistry, and your editing and production quality is superb. I've never tried India Ink as a dye - it looks good with the Ash, just as you predicted. The carcass mitres looked perfect too. My next project's going to be mid-century wall furniture inspired by Danish designer Poul Cadovius ' "System Cado". That's got mitred corners and I'm a bit apprehensive ! Tests on MDF first I think. Nice video and results as always Marie.

I never seen anybody else use ink to blacken wood and it really do better job with visivility of wood grain. Great project! New here, will check up more :)

Dowel are my best friend until I get a Domino ;) I have been wanting a bandsaw for years, and so far I love it! Just need to find excuses to practice on it.

nice design ideas you're showing here. quick tip: why don't you dry assembly the back of the nightstand during the glue up of the mitres? this ensures straight corners without worries.

beau design. souvent j'aime utiliser des agraphes 1/4 (18 gage) pour les panneaux minces comme celui à l'arrière. beaucoup plus solide que les clous mais impossible d'enlever le panneau sans le briser. la beauté de la chose c'est que l'agrafeuse ROK coute environs 40$ chez canac et fonctionne très bien contrairement à d'autre types cloueuses bas de gamme.

is wood movement ever a concern for the hex pattern, or is gluing down to that 1/8" ply already enough to prevent any problems?
