Mid Februrary Trophy Lake Trout Trolling

We hit Flaming Gorge Reservoir near Sheep Creek Bay in search of Trophy Lake Trout. We troll Lake Trolls and Mega Tubes 1.4-1.6 mph near the bottom in hopes of a bite. On our way back an ice sheet drifted across the lake extending to both shore lines.

Love my binder and love the ability to adjust the different types of sleeves. Mine is full of Christensen tackle and makes it super easy to switch out tackle quick and easy based on what’s hitting

What rod and reel combo are yall using? And what lb test line?

Eagle claw starfire rod/reel combo. 30 pound monofilament. My buddy Dustin runs a Cabela's rod and an Abu Garcia 6500 reel.

Those binders are nice. Would be better if you could choose what sleeves you wanted when ordering online.

How do you keep your pop gear from tangling

@mattensley2641 when I am storing them I use a quart bag that we package them in. When your fishing them as long as you get them a fee feet under the water before you do a full send they won't tangle.

What type of line and what pound are you using for you main line and leader?

@bluegill6644 I am running 30 pound vicious monofilament on both. When I re-spool I will go 40 pound monofilament on main line and 30 for the tube jig.
