Great overview! I saw some stuff not too long ago from MKBHD on Dall-E 2 that was intriguing. But this seems to be next level with the resolution and quality of results. I’m hoping to get an invite soon. Really curious about exploring what it would generate by asking for Norman Rockwell treatment on modern life situations.

Yes, but you'd need to do an AI-scaling on them for anything larger than an 5x7. Most resolutions produced by MJ are less than HD (1920x1080).

You can go deeper by letting the AI be more creative. Input --s 625 to --s 60000 for wilder variations. S stands for Stylize.

The AI's image-generating engine is always being updated so you'll never the 'same' thing for every prompt.

Because its randomized. You should save a higher res if you like a render you got knowing you will never get same result.

It's fairly easy to get an invite now, just go to the midjourney facebook page (it has around 30k+ members) and if you pay attention to the feed you can likely find some folks that are giving away invites.

I'd love to know how much of the image is generated by AI based not necessarily on anything in the prompt. A lot of the examples you showed had cool hazy background and elements that were not in the prompts, so how much work does the AI do if you give it incoherent or limited information in the prompt? Can you show us what it looks like if you give it a crappy prompt?

I would like to start disscusion with people about how creative it really is when an AI makes it. My opinion is that you can use AI as inspiration but it is so easy to just let AI do all the work.
