Hello! Sorry to hear about your recent setbacks. These things do happen and while they are frustrating at the time, the important thing is to pick yourself up, dust yourself off and realise that brighter days do eventually come. I started my own debt payoff journey recently and am following along with yours to keep myself motivated. Sadly it's not the first time I'm beginning this journey but hopefully this time, it will be the last. I'll be cheering you on along your journey and to offer encouragement along the way when these force majeure issues happen. We will both get through this. Keep focusing on the positives - you have lots of support here on YT and you've made some great progress so far 😁❤

I’m so sorry to hear about your basement! You have a wonderful positive attitude about it-you will love making it your own.

Thank you!! Believe me, it's hard staying positive, but I know a negative attitude isn't going to fix anything. I may even document the basement makeover in a new series. It'll be fun once I'm financially able to do so 😊

Oh no, I’m sorry. Like you said, you’ll be okay. It sucks but at least you have the funds and more importantly, you have family to help. That’s a blessing. Have a great weekend!

Thank you! Yes, I will be ok. Everything will be ok. Im feeling optimistic now that some time has passed. I've even thought about documenting the renovation here on the channel once I'm financially able to do it. It'll be fun. Thank you again for your support ♥️

Thank you! Believe me, it's hard sometimes. But, I have to put things into perspective and be thankful nonetheless. I'm definitely feeling better and more optimistic now that some time has passed. Hopeful for a better month in April 😊. Thank you for watching and for your support ♥️

The glass half full perspective is that you found the leak relstively quickly because you were checking onnthe humidifier.

So sorry to hear about your basement flooding, will be praying for you. We had our water heater leak in our finished basement and it was a hot mess as well, was not fun at all, but got through it. Did your home owner's insurance not cover some of the cost? It didn't for us, so yeah we were paying it all out of pocket as well. Just take one step at a time, focus on one thing you have to do at a time, you will get through this and be stronger for it, but hate you are having to deal with it. Take care of yourself!

Thank you for your prayers ♥️. My homeowners did not cover any of the costs, unfortunately. But, I am feeling better and a lot more optimistic. I'm actually looking forward to finally making it my own and maybe even documenting the renovation on the channel once I'm financially ready. It will be fun. Thank you again for your support ♥️

Speak with brother and dad to find out what help they can give you. Also what extra material the have from thier jobs that they may be willing and able to set aside and so on. If they dont live nesr by maybe you can zoom or video call, make some utube videos for them, or simply text them pictures for on going advice, instruction, and cheering.

For now, I'm just happy to have all of the damages and clean up finish. I really want to wait on the construction until I'm financially able to do so. But, I've at least got an idea at the cost for the renovation and I'll document that journey for the channel 😊♥️

@@MillennialLifeAndFinances It is my advice to buy a $1.25 spiral ringed notebook at the Now $1.25 Store unless you already own one, some paper and a jitebookmkr file folder. Then to begin to assess your repairs in terms of areas and work task phases using your notebook; i like indented pharagraph lists/ descriptors. From there its time to move on to sketches and some supply lists; ultimately you'll want measured/ scaled sketches and supply lists. At $10 to $24 per sheet of sheet rock if you can begin to collect other's left overs for free AND IF they are compatible to what you plan to use in terms of materials and dimensions it is time to start collecting. Meanwhile, even if you plan to hire it all out, it is time to make yourself a regular at the Home Depot, Lowes, and any other hardware store free classes. Maybe even see if there is a local-ish Habitat for Humanity chapter and project to go volunteer at. People who have a clue of what the work is all about (home or vehicle) don't get taken near as easily. And, you may find that some aspects of the job you're willing to take a stab at yourself.
