It's the larvae of the Leaf-miner moth that eat the leaves of the horse chestnuts from the inside. I just try to spot them early and then just squash them with my fingers. Also besides willow you can use Buddleia for large cuttings, they will root easily.

Peter here in California we have be in a drought situation for a couple of years. We need rain and lots of it. But we are limited on how often we can water our plants so everything is turning brown. So I am bringing the Bonsai trees indoor to hand water it. Can I grow my Bonsai trees indoor or do I have to leave them outside? Thanks for your insight.🙏 Take care and have a blessed weekend. 🙏🙏🙏

I finally have a pine cone on my japanese white pine. I am so happy to have it! My husband said to take it off because the branch it's on has such great color and the other branch needles are turning yellow-brown. I want to keep the cone for the seeds, so I just need to support the bonsai better. Sadly, the cone developed on the branch I was going to remove this year 😂
