I NEVER want anyone to be disappointed in me the way Sam was disappointed by immortal reign

What I like with your videos is that you make me discover so many books that other booktubers never talked nor mentioned. They always talk about the same series on and on and on. You don’t. So thanks :)

Between internship, grad school, and then the job hunt, and another job...reading has been on the back burner in 2018. However, I did love reading the King Fountain Series this summer by Jeff Wheeler.

I've read a lot of books I liked this year, but not many that I loved, which is a bit sad. My favourite has been here be dragons by Sharon Penman, and I'm going to read more of her books because it was awesome. My biggest surprise was loving Morgan Matson as I mainly just read fantasy sci fi and historical fiction

Personally my biggest disappointment was actually Grey Sister. I loved Red Sister a lot, in part because I felt genuine concern for the character's safety, and I was so pumped for Grey Sister since there were so many good reviews. Sadly though, I didn't enjoy it as much, I felt there was not any real character development at all, I guessed the plot twists, and there was just so much action by the end that there just wasn't any fear or tension in it anymore. Of course, this is an unpopular opinion, and I felt similar things regarding Furyborn, which means most people will love this too.

I actually loved Our Dark Duet more than This Savage song 😂

Liking the video as soon add you said my small trash child. That alone made me curious about Borne!! I had the same answer for book that made you gru and book that made you happy. It was the closed and common orbit by Becky chambers

Favorite book: City of Brass. Yessssss to that. Biggest surprise: Renegades. I didn't think I'd care for it as much as I did. Biggest disappointment: The Blinding Knife by Brent Weeks. I legit feel like I spent two weeks reading what ended up being so... upsetting? I guess I could say. Best sequel: Obsidio. I started out not caring for the series but wow did it pick up speed. Thunderhead is a close second. Books to get to by the end of the year: Amberlough. I picked it up randomly at the bookstore and read the first paragraph. Such a goner on that alone. Then I want to read The Miniaturist and Red Queen (I've been putting it off but a patron at the library keeps recommending it so I might as well).

Currently listening to red sister on audio book! I haven't read anything this year that disappointed me, I've read one that I HATED but it was from an author I wanted to give a second chance after not liking his other books. Current book crush is Hector from a girl of fire and thorns 😍
@TheHitchhikersGuide6 жыл бұрын
Have you read Good Morning, Midnight by Lily Brooks-Dalton? I'm currently reading it and it really reminds me of Station Eleven (not so much about the world that comes to "an end", but more about the people and how they deal with it. Beautifully written and just really interesting), even the covers are alike! 😄

I was disappointed by red sister I feel it was just Nona gets in a fight and loses or Nona gets in a fight and wins but it’s really hurt in the plot was really predictable I got like 72% through and then just stopped maybe I’ll pick it back up again later but for now I’m just gonna like nope

I am dying to read Red Sister but since I have to always start at the beginning with an author, I'm only up to Emperor of Thorns at the moment. I do love that series, though, Jorg is an awesomely horrible person.

Awesome answers! I also posted this tag a few days ago on my channel 😃. I have a habit now where if a physical book has an accompanying audiobook and I don't hate the narrator's voice, I pretty much need to be listening to the audio and following along in the book so I am waiting on the audio of Spinning Silver from the library before I read it (but only 1 other person ahead of me now 🙆). Glad you are loving the re ad, I am so excited. There is a fellow booktuber who I follow/sm friends with who completely loves Emily St John Mandel, her name is Katie and her channel is called Books and Things and you should check out her videos if you want advice on where to go next with the author 😃. I need to watch your review of the Fallen Kingdoms series now because if the last 2 books are that bad idk if I want to start the first several and then stop or read such a disappointing ending. Also I heard so many comparisons that this is like the YA Song of Ice and Fire and I read Game of Thrones first and loved it so I am worried about thinking this is a younger version of it, is that at all how the book is? Great video!
