@6:34 - I said this book has "very little" new information about the making of the movie, but on second thought I don't necessarily think that's true. I should have given more praise to the crew's quotes as for the most part I actually did learn a lot of new information. I think what I was really trying to say is that there is "very little new information" relative to the book's size. Also, one weird thing is that after the name of the person giving the quote there is no reference to what their role is. So you either have to remember everyone's name and job, or figure it out on your own.

This happens to be the one time in which a less than favorable review hasn't stopped me from getting this huge tome. Like yourself, I'm a Lord of the Rings fan, and as of late, I've been on a mission to collect as many LOTR and The Hobbit behind the scenes books as I possibly can. That being said, no amount of written press will ever top what Jackson and his team did on the Appendix features for both LOTR and The Hobbit. Along with Charles de Lauzirika's awesome job on the Blade Runner and Alien Anthology box sets, these must surely go down in history as the most comprehensive, and amazing special features ever produced for a series of movies.

@GiannisFasoulas - You are very welcome, and thanks so much for watching! The Hobbit Chronicles books are completely different to this one (and much better too). I have done full flip-throughs/reviews for all of them, so you can see for yourself: kzbin.info/aero/PLuNgPRXXdJGdEjUw4ofJNYgzR0nM4Ilri

I’m really interested in something close to a photo book of the lotr movies but I can’t seem to find anything. Is this a good option or do you have any other recs?

I get your points and your reviews are just great . Are their any alternative to the LOTR un which I can find good info about the production of the movies?

@MANUEL ANTONIO ARIZA CASTRO - Sadly there hasn't been any especially amazing books on the actual making of the movies (the appendices on the extended edition blu ray/dvd are still the best bet). But I have reviewed pretty much every noteworthy book on the movies, which you can see in this playlist: kzbin.info/aero/PLuNgPRXXdJGdEjUw4ofJNYgzR0nM4Ilri

Hmm, thanks for the review, you saved me some money. Unfortunately this is exactly what I wasn't interested in.

The book is interesting but I don't like that it has material from the Hobbit. Jackson's hobbit did what he wanted I don't respect Tolkien's book
