MIDDLE EARTH SBG TOURNAMENT REVIEW | AN ARMY YOU HAVE NEVER SEEN BEFORE | ARDACON DOUBLES DASH

We got last minute tickets for the one-day ARDACON DOUBLES DASH tournament. Myself and Louis pair up for three games with an army that we'd never seen before!
**The army used in the video is a legal singles army! Unfortunately (due to our giddy excitement about the prospects of the army and the last minute nature of the tickets) we over looked this paragraph about constructing a Doubles army:
"A force must be from a single Army List, and so may not contain models from a different Army List. However, one force may be from a different Army List to the other."
We used three armies rather than two. It probably did impact the results of the games and thus the tournament so our sincere apologies for that and we'll be much more careful with the rules in future!! **

I find throwing yourself into a tournament is an easy way to pick up the game, as it's a bunch of games back to back. So looking forward to seeing how that next doubles tournament goes. Great video as always.

Nice batrep and looking forward to seeing when Leon joins you. Good to see you and Louis doing well in this torunament. and with the illegal doubles list, surely the organisers would know beforehand what you were bringing? but there are so many FAQs and Errata i bet there are always illegal armies being played... nice bat rep anyway.

Yeah there probably are! We submitted them the week before so i suppose they had the chance to look but I don't envy that job at Ardacon..! Works both ways too, been to two tournaments now with one less Bolt Thrower crew than we were meant to have 🤦‍♂️

Too bad about it being an illegal army for the tournament, but that is a really cool army, and one I never would have thought of.

It's so frustrating (probably more for our opponents!) but it really was a great army to use - just for singles next time...

@@twotreesgaming If you did turn it into a legal doubles army, would you have gone for Serpent Horde or Far Harad?

Probably Serpent Horde. Less exciting but they would mean you get your army bonuses and Suladan's banner is so so good. Probably add a Harad King, a few Abrakhan Guard and regular warriors in place of the rest of the Mahud stuff - but it wouldn't be as cool!
