Krûk has to be the most terrifying of all the Nemeses this game made. No grappling, no shield, no empowered weapon, no berserker or unblockable attacks. Hell, I think the only immunity he had was range. Just a hate of pain, an axe to cleave 3/4 of your life in one go, and No Chance. Prak was scary because you'd fight him 5 times in a minute while he giggles like a nutter. Krûk will just steameoll your ass.

It all makes perfect sense... The Blood-axe is the Excalibur of Mordor, that possesses an Uruk as it's vessel, such as Kruk. By branding him, Tear weakened his connection with the Blood-axe, reducing it's power. Upon Tear leaving the land, the Blood-axe found a new host in Takra.

He's a dead-ringer for Prak, minus the shoulder pad and mask. We must push this new lore. While he had the model of a generic grunt orc, of which there's about a dozen, captains only ever have those skins if they killed you to become a captain in the first place. Generic orcs you kill with fire rarely DO come back as random bag heads so maybe the game does indeed do this. Adding masks,bags etc and NOT being a randomly generated coincidence.

Joe Morgan Holy fuck, I noticed the same thing. Someone make a movie about the life of Prak Jaws, about how he just was a normal uruk until he took an arrow to the jaw and lost his ability to speak. After he recovered and realized death could not defeat him, he decided to get his sweet, sweet revenge over and over again. After way too much screaming and Tark humuliation, he got a sore throat, so he decided to go away for a while to a zen uruk temple on top of Mount Doom where he once again could master the art of not screaming and giggling all the time. When he was finished, he removed his mask and was about to start his life afresh as a good, law abiding uruk of Mordor. But then news of the Tark threatening some of Sauron's most powerful servants reached him, and he realized Mordor would need him, the only uruk who could save his people from the greatest evil. He was about to retire, but his people needed him, the hero Mordor deserved and also the one it needed. Finally Prak, without his mask and with the ability to speak, faces the Tark. They've both come a long way, and even though Prak does his best, he is eventually killed. Or is he truly dead? For can Death truly die? Perhaps he is now somewhere in Mordor, going about his daily life and looking back at the days when he wore a metal mask and was a completely different uruk. Maybe one day he'll put on the mask again and return to fight his nemesis and finally put an end to the Dark Shadow of Mordor. Edit: I need to go to sleep.

My extended theory is that Prak was once just a grunt uruk that was a chuckling, screaming, madman that no one payed much mind to because he had no other defining features. However, after his run-in with Talion he retreated to the other area and acquired his"Jaws" so his mouth wouldn't hang open. Using his new menacing appearance and psychopathic tendencies he quickly rose through the ranks under his new moniker"Prak Jaws". When he later met Talion again he saw his chance to put him through a new torment equal to his. He repeatedly beat Talion to an inch of his life and left him, humiliated, only to always come back to do it again. After his final "death" in free-roam his rapid uruk healing finally reassembled his jaw. He heard that The Tower was looking for a powerful captain to hold off Talion's forces and killed off any competition so he could have another shot at him. Now with full use of his mouth, he was able to (crudely) express his bloodlust for the ranger. Sadly, even this mighty force couldn't resist Talion AND four warcheifs (though he could probably take those groups individually) and he was finally slain. Or was he? (Yes I thought about this way too much.)

The only video game character that has: -Survived multiple deaths -killed Tallion (Tears) -been branded and been a killing machine -crossed over to the sequel while STILL being branded -still kicking butt in his army and became Tear's bodyguard -betrayed Tears and kill him -went right to being his ally All of this while being probably the most memorable Uruk ally in the series for him. Jumper Czech I don't brand people that are my nemesis. Here is a story of a man named Luga the Choker. A lot of my enemies became powerful because i only focused on the main story. But Luga was different. He was extremely powerful. He had a sword, covered in poison, and he always seemed to come back. One time when he came back, he said something about me cursing him. I had to kill him 3 times. (3rd time was near the end of the game.) I happily killed him, but when i replay the game, i see mimics of him i can easily kill. It makes me feel sad and not really wanting to keep playing, as i missed fighting Luga. They need to add a thing where you can use the things you get when you kill Captains and Warchiefs to respawn the person you got it from and perhaps get a better version of the same item or a different item entirely.

Kain Bloodshower ...I have a Rival that I will never forget. Luga the Choker. Poisoned blade, Max level because I didn't really pay attention to him until it was too late, and I lost to him a lot. When I entered the new area, he was the only captain I hadn't killed. When I fought him at the semi last battle, I didn't get to get the last kill...but his death satisfied me. It's been a long time. I started a new save, killed a bunch of captains, none of them stood out...then I saw him. Rug. He looks like an undead version of Luga...

+Dustin Kehr I have a Nemesis like that. Durgzha the Destroyer. I first met him as a basic Uruk, and he killed me off the back of my then rival Olgoth the Drunk's work. He basically finished a crippled me. So I hunted him down. And he was power level 5. I thought I had him. He DESTROYED me. By the endgame, he killed me a full 23 times, while I had put him down a mere 3 (one failed finisher, one arrow to the face and one explosion) times. He had Combat Master, Regeneration, Hate of Pain, Deadly, was invulnerable to range or stealth, and just. Did. Not. DIE. In the end, I met him at the gates of the Tower... He, single-handedly, took down all five of my Warchiefs. I eventually killed him (?) with a stab to the back while he was weakened. But I still don't know if he's out there... RIP (?) Durgzha. You came. You saw. You destroyed my EVERYTHING.

Xagerx10 Mine was Kurthaga (I don't know how to spell it) Caragor-trainer, he was a lowly captain who's only notable trait at the time was No Chance. He was a hunter who killed me via a spear to the back, and after that he gained a ridiculous amount of strength. He was immune to stealth, monsters, hate of pain, hate of defeat, regeneration, whatever that perk that regens health when they hit a strike, counter attack, no chance. He killed me about 13 times and almost always had other captains ambush me mid battle. I finally killed him with an arrow shot to the back of the head once he was weak, he came back with the metal thing on his head. He then proceeded to kill me at least 4 times before I executed him with a sword through the skull, he returned with the scar Kruk initially got. I finally killed him a third time via a cliff. He returned for the Main Quest, where ToG fought Prak, and he had a metal arm with the 3 prongs. I got the final kill which was a stab to the heart and I never saw him again. I've never seen a more terrifying Uruk than him, he could survive anything it seemed.

mine was a guy named noruk the wrestler. I first met him a bodyguard to a warcheif I ws trying to brand mid way through the game. I branded his warcheif and chased him, only for him to counter hit and kill me. He then began hunting me, every time I was trying to do anything he would show up with his spears and murder me with his ridiculous damage, his counter hit, and his inability to be jumped over. I defeated him a grand total of twice. Once was when I dropped a beehive on his head nad procked the terrify, SO I managed to chase him down and kill him as he was trying to flee. Or so I thought. He came back while I was on my way to fight the tower in baradur. He killed me, then got on a boat to baradur and met me on the battle field. After hilling 4 of my wacheifs I managed to kill him by comboing my last warcheifs attack with an execution, and I finally chopped off his head. Rest in peace noruk you bloody bastard.

Kruk is a fucking immortal monster, plain and simple. If anything, I'd wager he's more powerful and unstoppable than Prak Jaws and Ukrom Bloodstorm *combined.* His constant regeneration combined with insane damage makes him utterly impossible to kill. Hell, if you think about it, unlike Prak and Ukrom, *Brett never took down Kruk without exploiting the game's mechanics.* He only used stealth and other Uruks to do so. Never did Brett get the killing blow on him in a fair fight, and under his side, Kruk proved to be insanely strong. Captains and Warchiefs alike end up dying in only a few blows, while Kruk can keep going far into a slaughter with absolutely no respite and no damage taken. Hell, you'd think being ported over to SoW would slow him down in any fashion, due to changes to Uruk abilities and leveling but if anything he *just got stronger.* In the recent episode, as level 55, Kruk effortlessly killed scores and scores of Uruks like he was slaughtering cattle while taking absolutely no damage. *this included a level 65*

I had just 100% the game and was looking for a challenge. i see a guide that says shadow of mordor hardcore mode, and it was basically no upgrades except elven sprint and Death Threat, no promotional runes, rush death threat and do that to every single challenge and war chief, and for extra challenge (which i did), no health upgrades. the very first free roam captain i found was someone named "Something the hunter" (It was a boring generic name). i had to death threat him, against my will, after he had killed me MANY TIMES. the worst thing about him is he would only appear when another captain was around, so i would have to fight, with no abilities and minimum health, two gangs of uruks. he was immune to ranged, hate of pain, no fears, and poison. the only reason i ever made any progress was that he became a warchief and stopped bothering me.he had the trait which gives him extra bodyguards. when the time came to fight him i had to fight 5 gangs of uruks at once, in a stronghold, with no combos or branding.
