Finally. Tried this on so many Captains. Interesting point, savages and defenders refused to become Stormbringer every single time, so maybe this one is class-restricted. Warriors, Archers and Hunters got it often, however, I tried making some Uruks become Stormbringer several times by reloading a save and sometimes they would not gain the personality, for some reason. Consider your chances a 50/50 if you try to get this. I suspected the Captain had to have cursed weapon to be able to get this, but it turns out it's not a requirement. All you need is the voice in the video and the right class. I will continue to release more of these short videos of special scars for the ones that are left.

Uruk's Hollow you say that they need the voice originally to become the special scar. That is not the case for me. I’ve gotten special scars with the voice and personality changing. You don’t need it to be the starting voice. I got someone with the raspy old man voice to become the specter. I got someone with the perverted voice to become the claw.

Dillon I know I'm quite late to say this but you can have one that is like the one from the trailer though it requires first finding a manhunter with a cursed body type and proper voice because all manhunters have that mask and their from the dark tribe so it's possible but very time consuming to have a replica

A bit of an interesting addition, Uruk's Hollow: when I finally managed to get a Stormbringer on my side, he had neither the Cursed Arm, nor a hook or even stitches. He got a peg-leg, so you can add this as a possibility as well.

I was just as surprised when I got my very first one back in December. I thought it had been cut. It was really nice, because it was a Machine tribe Uruk, so he had bronze dark armor and even his arm had that tint. Although, a lot changed between Alpha Stormbringer and this one.

Protip: if you want to get the stormbringer in the gameplay trailer You have to make a uruk that has that mask (manhunters work perfectly) and then make it kill or humiliate you and then get the execution where you cut it's hands of (If you get unlucky with the executions just save the game before executing and load it again) Tadaaa thrak stormbringer is yours BTW you will need to have a manhunter with Cursed skin if it doesn't have cursed skin just do all the steps except wrath kill it then execute it

yes that....would be the case except after the baranor dlc this scar is almost unobtainable i spend 3 months try to farm this guy and all the candidates end up dead or bugged one called the claw and he dosent even have one for some reason the devs removed the already minuscule chance to get the scar so yeah gatting an accursed is wayyy les time consuming than this one also they can spawn with manhunter mask sooo yeah

I would try with Man Hunter. If you get a Ranger Killer, don't waste your time with him. Because he has unique dialogue already, he can't get special scars.

For those who want to make their own Stormbringer, many videos and self-experience have taught me how to make him, so here's some notes for you: -Warriors, Archers, Hunters, and Savages can become a Stormbringer. Defenders can never become them. If there is one that does exist, it must've been from Shadow of Mordor. -Stormbringer is locked by choice of voice. Look for ones that make a growlish voice after you they introduce themselves. For specifics, look at the Assassin, Night-Bringer or Fire-Brander if you want the voice/yell you're looking for. -Make sure you have Uruks that didn't cheat death, that way it'll make sure he'll come back properly. -Before or after you kill him, get yourself two Uruks into the field, one of the Machine and one of the Claw, to ensure he doesn't come as either of those two. After you find your Uruk that you want to make into the Stormbringer, how you do it. -Get him to kill/humiliate you twice. -Fight him to the death, make sure he's on a mission/revenge for the next step. -Once you bring him down, and you kill him, make sure you have a very specific animation for killing him. As shown in the video above, you want the "Both arms chopped off" animation. -Wait 25-30 minutes for his time to come back (this is in game, no pausing, story or other missions to make time go by). Put a timer on while you wait on a Haedir, and make sure your game doesn't pause itself if using Xbox to do this. -(Extra Step)Go into a mission you can get to without having to walk too far (use the Bird's Prey with Talon Strike to get to the mission, or ride a Drake to the mission (haven't tested this theory) This will make sure that if he comes back as something different, you can restart before he's permanently added to the game. -If he ambushes you and says "BROTHER!", then Congratulations! You have made yourself a Stormbringer!

I just recently managed to get the beast olog with the hair and beard after crushing a random Olog captain with a graug! It actually worked I couldn't believe it, really want the stitch olog now which is easy enough to get but the stormbringer I'm having trouble with. Great videos

So the tutorial is Get an orc with the right voice and let him kill you until he has spoke to you for about 3 times then kill him with a brutal execution (2 rows of might) and there’s a chance of his arms to cut off and you can wait then he becomes a storm bringer

Note: “of the Hand” orcs have a completely corrupt appearance, including the gauntlet, but not the Stormbringer personality. You could risk killing an “of the Hand” for the personality, but I wouldn’t recommend it. Also, in my experience, “of the Hand” orcs seem to be more powerful than other orcs; one Berserker I had, Tûgog of the Hand, made it to over 200 kills in the Online Fight Pits - and he had been shamed before. His successor, Lorm of the Hand (a Tank with Thick Skinned - the agony), killed me 6 or 7 times before I could finally recruit him. This was all on Brutal difficulty. It might be different for other difficulties.

If he didn't change his name to Stormbringer when he ambushed you, then no. Closing the game will only reroll the scar variant he gets, how many levels he gains and traits for doing so.

It could be that more captains tried cheating death while the one you talk about was in one of his cooldowns (the approximately 25 minutes it takes for someone to ambush you). Often, this causes captais to get glitched and never ambush you, but still spend a "trigger". After several hours of not ambushing you, they time out, and are replaced.

Yeah. what I mean is that if what I said did indeed happen, then a bunch of random captains could have wasted a bunch of your triggers and now most captains just die forever. Also, cheating death is more common in the early game, and not so much later. Could also just be that.

Uruk's Hollow. As I've been going through the early game, as one tends to do when trying to get orcs. I realized that the Assassin has the same voice as Stormbringer has and you always have a chance to meet him. Is it possible to turn the Assassin you meet in the beginning of the game into Stormbringer, assuming one gets enough skills and luck to use the right brutal execution after getting a machine?

I know this is kind of a late reply, but I recently imported a Warrior Stormbringer from SoM and he indeed has the sword like the one in the video, as well as the old skull-helmet from SoM. He didn't, however, have a Cursed arm or a claw or anything, and he didn't gain the unique Stormbringer personality. Instead, he has the same voice actor as the Machine (but not the personality, obviously. Just the same voice actor). Another interesting thing is that there are Stormbringer Defenders in SoM, but Defenders can't become Stormbringers in SoW, as you pointed out in your pinned comment.

Brutal executions are those that you do when the Might bar is double charged. Unlike normal executions, these chop off limbs and are also more likely to behead.
