Archers xan snipe off those spear supports who are valid targets, which might have helped counter the mass of orcs in the centre.

Hopefull this is helpful: As i understand the rules, when your troops ascended that wonderful centerpiece they should have done a jump test as that piece of terrain (looks to me at least) is more than half the figures height (14mm) but not twice its height, in which case they would need to pass a climb test.

The buildings are from Battlesystems, the walls and trees are model railway scenery that I picked at random from a Google search.
