When someone is slogging up a hill, you're thinking they're on the verge of of not having fun and they flash you a quick smile and a wink so you know they're coping. :-)

Thank you so much, she actually has a habit of doing that, sometimes i spot it and sometimes I don't! Andrea struggles only for the first hour, then finds her gears and gets going - you just have to wait for the moment!! Regards, Ashley

Ashley, a good task for the day👍 A change in conditions, though you did well on this Lakes trip. Loved the cloud starting to touch the tops☁ though still with great views. Keeping moving is definitely the key to staying warm especially if there is a proper Sunday Lunch👍 Lovely walk back down above the river. Loved the rainbow🌈

Yes, Gerry, the weather was more in our favour on this trip though the video I'm working on now will show a lot of cloud and wind - nowhere near as much as you got recently! We were trying to do as many of the fells as possible in that area but we were aware of not doing too much and saving ourselves for the big ones. But every day in the mountains is a good day and we loved this one and the roast beef!! Regards, Ashley

I thought Andrea wasn’t going to make it at one stage! Very steep, almost vertical and something we weren’t expecting. But she made it! Coffee is her energy source!! Thx

Hi Ashley, I did this same walk last year when I met my now sometime hiking buddy Christine. It's a bit of a haul up Seatallen isn't it. Great walk out and glad you got the views with the rain mostly holding off. Took me back to when I did it. Enjoyed watching. Have a great up and coming week 👍Paul

Thanks Paul, you're definitely right about Seatallan, but Andrea gave me a few winks and I was fine!! We loved this walk - it was a bit of relief from some of the really tough ones we did on this trip. Thanks for watching, regards, Ashley

Thanks Simon, Wast Water and Wasdale are spectacular. I see on your channel that you've been to Lake Tahoe in California. What a lake that is and the road around it is truly spectacular too. Regards, Ashley

So many Fells around that side of the lakes I have not done and this being another 3 of them. Not too bad weather but bad enough, especially for the steep climb up to Seattallen and what a sprint finish that was! Loved the cairn on Glade How and quite a view indeed but an awkward descent off Buckbarrow. Looked a real nice walk, cheers Alan

Alan, it's a very safe walk, not too challenging but has great views and a fair bit of variety. One anyone could safely do on their own. Also a very quiet walk, we hardly saw anyone at all and navigation was easy. Will soon be getting to the Fairfield Horseshoe walk and looking forward to seeing what we got on our camera. Thanks for watching. Regards, Ashley

Good video of a really nice walk Ashley. Some great atmospheric views. Carol wants to know where you got the Sunday lunch, it looked really nice. Good evening shots at the end. Enjoyed watching, keep them coming! Take care. Cheers. Eddie.

Eddie, we ate in the Bridge Inn at Santon Bridge. The food in there was very good, I think we ate there 3 times and every time it was good. We tried to follow your route though I think we wandered off a few times. At the top of Middle Fell the weather became windy and dark for a short time and we thought we might have to turn round but then it changed and we push on - so glad we did. The bit up to Seatallan was very steep but otherwise it was a very pleasurable hike. Working on the next one which was a visit to Muncaster Castle and after that it's the mighty Fairfield Horseshoe. Thanks for watching and commenting. Have you and Carol been out recording again yet? Regards, Ashley

@@ashleyjarnold Hi Ashley, we both remembered it being steep going up to Seatallan. Muncaster Castle has been on the local news here, apparently it is very popular for Halloween. We have been doing local walks most days. We have been on the Simonside Hills quite regular. Not been doing any filming, just enjoying the walks. It is nice to leave the camera at home and take in the walks without filming. I have all my new gear ready to go, so hopefully will be filming soon. Take care. Cheers. Eddie.

@@eddiecaisley5746 Looking forward to seeing how you get on with the new kit. I agree about it being good to have walks with no filming - though you could miss a great day for filmong too - you can't win at times!! Ashley
