Hi guy's. Just goes to show some of these smaller fells are really worth doing. Brilliant views as usual. Looked a bit of a slog up that first part of the walk, poor Tracey struggled a bit , not surprising. Marvellous cairn by Joss Naylor. Must have took some building, bless him. One of my favourite walks Andy. Those views from Middle Fell over to the Scafells are stunning. Got some amazing photos from up there. We had to hack our way through about 4 foot of gorse etc descending along the Ghyll but great memories. ATB hope you all had a great Christmas

That was a very touching and suitable tribute to Joss. Lovely opening shot, thank you. And on a circuit which has always been a favourite, not just for the fells themselves but for those views of the Scafells and I think the best views of the Screes from anywhere, especially at sunset. Although I agree with Tracey about that pull up Seatallan... brutal! You need a ski tow! There is an alternative to that final bit of tough path. From Joss' cairn, head a bit further up Greendale ghyll and there's a point at which the path crosses the ghyll well below Greendale Tarn (marked Ford on the map) and the path on the other side back down is easier.

@@RockStar67 From memory, the path is where the path from Greendale Tarn comes down Brown Howe to the ford, and then continues down past the turn off to Middle Fell to the car park bit. I can imagine in spate it might be tricky to cross at the ford but I've always managed to get across at some point. I can't remember a clear path from Joss' cairn but I imagine one will develop at some point. Best wishes for 2025 to you all.

Another great video thanks! We are trying to complete the Wainwrights (168 bagged) and love your videos/use them to help recce routes. We did this exact walk in August in the clag end of August - started pouring down as we ascended Seatalkan - we didn’t realise that Joss had built a cairn otherwise might have visit (RIP Joss🙏).
