Thank you for sharing your ideas for 7th grade LA! I was looking very seriously at BJU but wasn’t sure if it would work for my anti-reading teen boy. The flip through was hugely helpful! We will be trying the NC Reading journal as well. Fingers crossed I can change his mind about reading!

Did y’all like Bju? Not sure why this area of language arts is so challenging for me to choose. We have hardly ever done an official literature in our homeschool.

We actually did like BJU. We didn't use all of the pieces, which is why I was so happy to have purchased it used. With the price tag for the BJU curriculum, I would hate to spend the money and use about 1/2 of what is offered.

Were there any red flags that stood out to you when using Beyond the Page, being that it is a secular curriculum?

I didn't notice anything is Esperanza Rising or Rats of NIMH that really stood out to me as something that would make me not want to use it. Thank you for watching!
