Thanks so much! I had been playing around with the style settings and forgot to reset them 😂 Now I get why my recent results were so far removed from the prompt! Very easy to follow tutorial, as usual, and appreciated seeing the various upscales. I’m very impressed with this AI tool. As a much older user of AI, (64), I can see, like so many tech innovations that I’ve lived through, that this tool is causing some concerns amongst certain members of the artistic community. Just to say that I remember going from standard film to cards in cameras and the professional photographers being worried they would lose work. I lived a life before the home computers 😳😬 and when people were frightened that these would take their jobs once introduced into the workplace. Don’t even mention the Internet and how that was viewed 🤦🏻‍♀️ This AI is here to stay and I say embrace it 👍 Life will be different but not necessarily worse, just different 😊

I have a question and maybe I am missing something completely obvious but you don’t learn unless you ask. I joined the Midjourney $30 mo and would like to know how to get into a private chat with the bot. Being on the newbie threads is very distracting and also I don’t want my work up in front of everyone’s eyes…what do you know that I don’t? How can I have a more private experience? I am not overly program literate so I thought I’d ask. I am absolutely loving using this program so far though and find it deeply inspiring as an artist. I didn’t know that it would feel so incredibly inspiring seeing the possibilities of what are, is, can be and will continue to be brought to life through human imaginations. It may be AI but it’s us who are commanding the imaginative process…SO flippin cool! Thanks in advance for your guidance. 🙏

I like how you fail to explain that testp changes THE ORDER of the options and how they are entered. with -testp the order is STYLE, SUBJECT, DETAILS with regular midjourney the order is SUBJECT, DETAILS, STYLE And that matters a lot!!

Hi, great infos here!! But I miss something in the general workflow: When I set to "MJ Test Photo" the result is stunning, but always just 1 image instead of 4 and it takes long. May I use MJ V3 in the first place and when I like a image, can I switch to refine this one to MJ Test Photo? It seems, when I choose one method, I have to stick with it, right?

you would do that with inpainting. but MJ does not have that. for that you can use PlaygroundAI image to image with mask

upgrade asap. if you use the $10 up. you have to pay the full $30. it's not an upgrade, it's payment for GPU time and at that point you already used all the GPU time

My bad... I was just about to throw MidJ into the trash. My settings have a 'drop down menu' now. Type: /settings Hit "enter" Then I see a drop down list of MJ V1 -V5.2 & (1) Niji Model V5 Clicking on each one of these, has different settings for the specific model.

So i'v been using the fast mode and not the relaxed mode with my 30 dollar subscription, as i understand it, eventually i will run out of the fast and then it will default to the relaxed?

no, if you run out of fast and still use it, you will be charged for every additional minute of fast you are using. always use relax, unless you need something really really urgently

I believe the basic $10/month package gives you 200 prompts/uses. But, I'm brand new to this & it's horrible! I don't have access to the: settings, seeds, remix GUI, etc. I'll give it another week, before I just go back to adobe.

Discord has a limit and that is why they want people to join other Discord servers to use it here, but they also sat down with Discord and had that limit extended. Though I don't know about the latest status. But there will always be a way to us MJ on other discords. :)

I think that is something Art Pages have to decide on their own. There are many ways, like limiting the amount of images that can be posted per day or making it mandatory to mark AI images as such, so they can be filtered out.Or simply ban AI-only Art from their services. On the other hand, this will create opportunities for new pages with better systems. After all, anyone on Instagram and KZbin can upload their content, no matter how good it is. But Instagram and KZbin have self-regulating systems (views, likes, comments) that push the things to the top people really want to see

Interestingly this also means that Ai art will eventually flow back into their own latent spaces - maybe compounding errors and biases in a feedback loop, for example errors in faces and hands. But "Detectors" for AI art are surely developed as we speak, to prevent this and filter out AI Art from the latent spaces.
