Just discovered Midland. I’m a self confessed music snob. Modern country has never really appealed to me. But this band is just so so good. And what a voice! The harmonies are infectious. The songwriting is impeccable. Even in its commercial form I find it undeniable and truly authentic, especially the “On the Rocks” album. It hits just right.

Saw them twice before COVID. The concerts have a lot of energy. They pick up the pace of their songs quite a bit. It really works though.

What’s with the forced accent? I liked their first version of this song. I’m from Texas and I don’t like the “pretend” accent. Midland isn’t from the south and they sounded fine when they first started; actually they sounded really good. Lose the southern pronunciation please!!!! Sounds silly.
