Coming from someone with a roofing background: When you come upon a pile of old shingles in a yard, rather than chance being bitten by a snake or rats, a pitchfork is your best friend for picking up shingles. just slide the fork under and it makes for safe & easy pickup. Shingles make for a cozy warm home for critters you don't want to interact with. Keeps your hands clean and no nasty surprises. Thanks for your good works.

Sean edges George out because he has a great heart and goes to the underserved neighborhoods to make a difference. 😊

I have found a way to give back to my community by volunteering in the local schools and encourage other retirees to find the way they can give back. I LOVE the way you stop and talk to us while you are working. It really feels like you are bringing us along with you. Really no one else does that. It is like you are teaching us and I have learned a lot of tips and tricks in keeping my own yard neat and clean. Watching you regularly from across the pond from Dublin, Ireland. Impressed by the work you do in what by Irish norms are huge gardens. I am genuinely surprised and even shocked at the lack of assistance offered to you by neighbours. In Ireland we have a national Tidy Towns competition which has existed for many years. Towns big and small have volunteers who work hard without any payment to clean up unsightly places and houses and abandoned buildings and sites to improve the appearance of their places. Annual awards are made to towns and villages by teams of assessors. Competition is intense and the results can be seen all over the country with flowers and fresh paint everywhere Is there need for a Neighbourhood Help organisation in your State and eventually nationwide to bring people together to help each other. Great job Sean! Two things: 1) that tree that was growing by the back steps is tree of heaven (Ailanthus altissima), an invasive tree that is also host to the spotted lantern fly, which is also invasive and very harmful! The spotted lantern fly has already been seen in Michigan and should be destroyed. It has wreaked havoc in the Mid-Atlantic region. 2) the tarps on the roof were placed to temporarily protect the house from leaks. The loose tarp has exposed the roof leak it was covering. 😢 I hope someone saves these two houses. Thank you Sean for all you do for the community.

What a beautiful transformation. That is a beautiful home. Maybe someone will buy it and move in and love it. It looks sad right now. I can hear the children playing in the backyard and Mom and dad grilling out. What in the world do you have in store for us this winter? As a Northern IN woman in GA I know snow hits Michigan pretty hard especially Lake Effect. Have a great week Sean!

Geez Sean you’re giving us heart attacks lol. 2 wks in a row you’ve had some close calls. This was a really good one. Stay safe. Your little boy is very sweet. You can tell you both have a good relationship ❤️🇺🇸

I'm curious. All those shingles piled in the backyard, apparently for some years and the roof of that house is still in desperate need of replacement. Love the quality of work that you do! My #1 favorite channel!

Love what you're doing. And the roof is just in time for winter. Let's get it done. Since you said there was a rodent problem, I can almost guarantee it was a Rat Snake without even seeing it.

Sean, this was another wonderful job cleaning up this lawn and property. Thank you for your hard work that you donate to this neighborhood. Its not easy to spend time away from your family, but you help others with that time. No one could ask for more from you. Thanks again for everything! Keep up the great work!!

When doing a project like you do when walking the yard dragging your feet helps finding things that could be hidden in the grass or overgrowth you do a great job with helping the community and maybe get neighborhoods working together to step up and helping each other,

A word about your bag insert. Cardboard boxes work just as well. We all get them from Amazon, and big packaged items. Trim, fold, leave it in if it wears out, and for those of us that only get it picked up in those bags, they get damp and fall apart so a little cardboard can help add just enough strength. Do remove shipping tags with your address....codes and all. 👽🗿👽🗿👽

Just a word to the wise... NEVER go digging around a pile of wood, garbage or in your case shingles bare handed or even gloves! Always use a shovel or garden tool with a long handle to dig around first to allow any wildlife the chance to move Signed your friendly Wildlife Biologist 🙂
