The boots and hat in the thumbnail had me rolling before I even started the video. I never thought it would be so refreshing to not hear a synth in a synth video. This has to be the absolute furthest thing any of the engineers could've possibly expected when designing and building the XY. What a fantastic idea! And to tie it up with an actual great song... This video might open up a can of worms. How many closet songwriters are lurking in the wings of all of the synth videos out there, I wonder. I sense a new trend coming. Sooooo good!!

I made some piano tracks on the OP-XY which don’t use the brain at all, because it is really nice figuring out beautiful progressions on a piano layout keyboard and the OP-XY has that much more directly than a grid based sequencer like the Deluge or Oxi one, or than other step sequencers where the step buttons double up as the keyboard buttons (Electron). So, the OP-XY has a very nice form factor to compose on it even if you don’t use all these tons of features hidden in it.

You know, I never thought about that that yet. I used to like going out to backyard and jamm my nylon string guitar while BBQ heating up. iPhone was good .... but a bit too bulky even taking small IK interface to it, which died at one point. Love the song. Good job! I mean no offense, but I do have two minor suggestions though. First, I would use a bit less reverb on the vocals. Your voice is strong enough to stand on its own. And this second one is more important. I would change the lyric from “meant” to “mean.” Saying meant makes it sound like your wife is no longer in your life. Not just for a vacation, but permanently.
