Sometimes, dry slopes are quite good. And it's nicer to ski outdoors in summer, warm weather, with a view to the sea, than in a cold snow dome ...

It's especially good fun in winter when there's snow, then you can ski all over the place, and still use the lifts to go back up. In rain the Dendex brush becomes extremely fast and fun. I skied here 4-days a week from 1976-1983. Those are some fond memories.

Southern California ski resorts need to line their bottoms in this stuff, maybe it would reduce beginning and end season ski damage

Depends on the manufacture / type and (for some) how wet they are and how steep the slope is. Sometimes it's as nice as spring corn snow, sometimes its sticky or like icy artificial slopes.

There a different manufactures, these ones are called Dendix, it's of course some sort of plastic. On the beginner slopes and tubings they have Neveplast.
