I would like to see an alt where they reference the other notable small-girl-and-mount duo from the Zelda franchise, Riju and Patricia. Midna would take on Riju's brown skin and gold clothing while Wolf Link would be recolored like a sand seal.

If BotW Link’s reveal was saved for a character reveal trailer and not the Everyone is Here game reveal trailer for Smash Bros Ultimate (though I would argue that the inclusion of him and A Link Between Worlds Zelda contradicts the “Everyone is here” mantra of Smash Ultimate because they replaced their Twilight Princess counterparts), I can picture a fake out reveal for Hyrule Warriors Definitive Edition where Link (in the Twilight Princess Link appearance) is defending Midna from attacks from Ghirahim, Zant, and Ganondorf (in his Ocarina of Time appearance while she is messing with a Gate of Souls. Link falters in exhaustion as Ghirahim assumes his sword form for Ganondorf to wield. Just as Ganondorf is about to kill Link, a boomerang is thrown from inside the Gate of Souls into Ganondorf’s face, causing him to stagger back. Twilight Princess Link looks up to see BotW Link emerge from the Gate of Souls as Midna pulls out the Shadow Crystal and two Smash invite letters after a text box opens with Midna saying “Let’s do this!”, she tosses one of the invites to BotW Link while Twilight Princess Link becomes Wolf Link and the splash screen opens with the caption “Hyrule’s hero gone wild!” After showing the differences between the movesets of Twilight Princess Link and BotW Link, the trailer would seamlessly segway to the reveal for Hyrule Warriors Definitive Edition.
