I remember seeing this trailer in theaters and being so excited. I was just 16, but I lied my way in when it opened. Less than a year later, I was working at the same theater. The cashier remembered me and just smiled when I got the job. To this day, I don’t think a single actor in that film ever gave a better performance.

First saw this film about 35 years ago and still love it, the trailer doesn't do it justice. One of my all time favourites.

When 'Midnight Cowboy' was re-released for its 25th anniversary in 1994, Siskel and Ebert (who are now reunited in Heaven) gave this movie "two thumbs up" and said "it stands the test of time". May Siskel and Ebert now rest in peace.
