Considering how the developers essentially made a sequel to Vermander's Curse, I would like it if they made another game based on the Midnight Maids' adventures. As explained from their dialogue, it seems they have done a lot of odd jobs- one involving something like almost being buried alive. Now *that* is something I'd like to know.

Every single Zed_Technician Game are connected into a world. Recently when Zed_Technician release a sequel that was popular and made him started developing more games that being "The Man in the Window" he created a sequel "The Man in the Window 2" and in that game if you get the secret star in the sequel there will be a chance that you will meet JP Vermander in "TMITW2". I'm not gonna say how your gonna do it but you can search in KZbin but anyways all of Zed_Technician games are connected to one universe and this universe is filled with creatures, ghost, monsters, demons and humans. The world of Zed_Technician games is pure weird and fantasies.

Seeing characters with diverse body types is always nice and seeing fat characters in horror games that aren't used in a "Ew look a gross fat monster lol" way just makes me happy as someone who could be considered heavier than average It's just nice seeing large characters not used as some kind of gross monster and instead showed as real people (like the sweet old sheep cook from one game reminded me so much of my grandma it made me happy)

I think Ruth is actually supposed to be a cockroach. She mentions being nocturnal and most ants don't sleep but for a few minutes at a time, and the mouth part isn't anatomically accurate for most ant species. I speculate this might also be the reason why their previous job was cancelled, but that's just guessing on my part since the game doesn't dwell on it long. I could be wrong, though. Edit: Whoops, Ruth didn't say she was nocturnal. Naomi did. My bad. But I think my theory has weight.

One thing I find interesting is that so far the antagonists of the series have either been too ambiguous to be evil (the Man behind the window), doing bad things as part of a job (the shadowcatcher), merely following the will of another (The demon J.P. summons) or are eventually redeemed (J.P. Vermander himself). Jeremiah is thus far the ONLY antagonist to be unambiguously evil, being a murderer of several people (at the LEAST less than a dozen, perhaps more) as well as an abusive parent. he's alsothe only antagonist who doesn't jsut leave (the man behind the window) or redeem himself (J.P Vermander and the shadowcather and arguably the demon). He instead is sent to hell. I dunno what my pint was, just an observation.

I think J.P might be the cousin of Joseph since it is likely Jeremiah had at least one sibling or maybe even more. I mean they both have the last name vermander and some of these old money families had a lot of relatives, however perhaps we might meet some of these relatives in later games but have probably either changed their surname or have taken the surname of the family they have married into.

I have a theory that Joseph and JP are not the same person. 4 reasons; Joseph seems to be younger than JP. They have different dress styles and mannerisms. Their noses are different. And we don’t see the office where JP sits in the first game *anywhere* in this house. (I know the first two are circumstantial). I think it’s more likely that JP is either an uncle or a cousin of Joseph who lived somewhere else. What do you think?

So I don't think Joseph Vermander is J.P. Vermander. The personality and hair color are all wrong. Let's just assume for a moment, from the Vermander Curse, is actually the late father Jeremiah. This would fit along with his personality, how J.P. died in that game, and the hair color of both characters. Seeing as how Joseph makes several mentions to how greedy, crual and uncaring his father, Jeremiah, was it fits with J.P. and how greedy and cruel he is. I think up until his fathers death, and how it's mentioned later how Joseph tried to run away, it's safer to assume Jeremiah trapped his son in that mansion, unable to leave, even in death. Just my opinion on the subject of course ^^

My theory is that JP Vermander is actually a branch in the Vermander family, instead of being a direct ancestor or descendant of Jeremiah and Joseph. Reasons for this is that JP's history and events don't line up with them. Remember that JP turned good at the good ending of the Vermander's curse, so it would make no sense for Jeremiah would be evil if he descended from a person who improved himself after realizing his errors and losing his mansion, while Jeremiah had one when he was alive. He couldn't be a descendant as well, as Jeremiah's son; Joseph died before he could've children. Which meant that JP wouldn't exist. So that could possibly mean that JP is likely a distant relative of Jeremiah; as they both share the family name, but their events differ.

2:45 I personally don't think Joseph is JP; JP's whole golden ending is that he lived to be a better person ad a normal person. I think Joseph might be JP's father or something simply because otherwise the good ending to the Vermander curse kinda gets overridden and so far this dev has been pretty good about not doing things like that, also JP has a full and different beard while Joseph only has the triangle as well as having red hair and locks while JP had brown and short hair. And it doesn't make sense for JP not to know that everything was being sold since he sold it all to give to the hospital. Joseph seems to be a ghost like the others, just not malevolent due to his conflict with his father's spirit

First off they have different facial hair, second JP is very specifically alive at the end of the Vermander curse and this game takes place very recently after the good end of the Vermander Curse where JP loses the estate. I certainly hope not. Despite the game being relatively short, I found myself growing attached to Ruth and Naomi. Their dynamic is really fun to see play out, with the cynical and tired Naomi constantly trying to stop the more optimistic and upbeat Ruth from getting them killed. Plus I wanna see what other ghosts they’ve helped get rid of. Seems to be a side hustle of theirs.
