In the recent TNO update, the ending screen with Verify Your Clock music that appears after you re-unify Russia, ends with the sound of glass breaking on the floor and someone breathing heavely, while you hear clock sounds. For me that means that Sergey didn't actually died, and final text before re-unification was just him having a nightmare.

If you're wondering why he died before you unified, it's mainly because you rushed to get him in power; he rapidly goes through the hours and once he's in charge the main focus is to delay the Twelfth Hour, which only can be done if you unify.

Basically no one. All soldier and governement official continue their task, believing the regent is still alive. In this timeline, Russia is a herd of sheep who fall of the cliff until the destruction of the country and a new warlord era.

I think he died after losing his last bit of sanity. You can see the last few paragraphs in 15:29 , he thought Alexei finally comes to be the monarch, but his final sanity makes him realises Alexei is long dead when he was a child, resulting in insanity as he is denying all the bad things he had done in his name when unifying Russia. And what happened next? He died, and the state apparatus continues to function and derailed. In the end, the nation is gone, and you will see the whole state become black, under anarchy and demilitarised, showing he utterly killed the nation, which is quite terrifying as the whole nation was gone and deadly quiet. And the devs said there will be a civil war after Taboritsky's death in TNO2 in future. @@whoyin93 To further explain things: Its the same as when Stalin died. Back then they feared to go into Stalins chambers to check if he's really dead, so they leave him in there for some days. The same is happening with our tabby, some events ingame explain this - There is just a strange voice coming out of his office (Maybe himself, living in insanity by then) and nobody checks on him in fear of his anger. For weeks. For months. So everything just goes on. As he held the power over everything, the deathsquads never stop killing everyone. Workers work themselves to death, as the shifts do not end anymore. Who wants to go home gets shot. Gas is fired into every corner of Russia, since the order to stop never comes. Everything comes to a hold, as more and more of your land becomes "demilitarized" - Its just dead. Nobody is there anymore. Everything went's black.
