Mido has nothing to envy Tudor, I don't know why Swatch Group hasn't positioned and marketed this brand appropriately. Lots of history, lots of improvements.

Tudor? Tudor is much higher than Mido. Mido is just a bit higher than Tissot.

@@chendian-jing6037 There in absolutely no substance for that. Mido has the exact same quality and finish as Tudor but with more history and more innovations. And Mido used in-family movements since the 80's, the same movements that Tudor had to buy from ETA, but Mido finished them much better than Tudor. Tudor just now has it's own movement, not really in-house...

The Powermatic 80 has been a tank for me. Mido doesn’t get enough love for the quality they put out but I understand to a certain extent. Regardless, some classic, unique, retro styling.

@Mido Watches : I would really like to know whether this new movement now has a "plastic" or synthetic escapement/pallet fork as it seems at 0:54 (seems like a white pallet fork) or a metal one, as seen at 1:19? Thank you!

+Christophorus84 Looks like the "lever" is stamped metal, it's just very white looking the it reflects the light, it does look just a little different from the normal ETA cal.2836 as it's more rounded in places, I've just not seen one like even out of China. It's a curious looking balance cock, seems to use the cheaper Standard and Elabor grade of KIF shock?

That part is plastic on that caliber, a lot of brands are using the plastic escapement pieces, I readed a lot about this, is not good improvement, metal is better, if you want more durability

Mido movement with silicon balance-spring will be even more performing and during more time than any other movement without silicon balance-spring. All Mido automatic movements have an unlimited running time as long as the watch is well-maintained. Some of historical MIDO watches from the 20’s are still in good working condition. Furthermore, Mido ensure one additional year of warranty for all COSC certified watches, that means 3 years of warranty for chronometers. Regarding the after sales service, each Mido watch is serviceable, repairable. We guarantee spare parts and repair of your watch 10 years after the last date of production of the model. Yo compre un BELLUNA II, y mi sorpresa es que es sumamente exacto, se adelanta 1 segundo cada 3 días y después vuelve a retrasarlo. Vienen bien graduados, como si fueran cronógrafos!

Tengo un mido comandar, y su estuche original, pero viene alargado la caja de compra en terciopelo amarillo, sabrás aproximadamente de que año será cuando lo recibí inmediatamente funciona bien y el día correcto sólo el. Número no camina, y como es una reliquia no se donde checarlo gracias 😊

Unless Iam missing something, it is possible to build fuelless and none battery operated vehicles that can run for years. Watch mechanics are pretty damn amazing, tiny engines.

Yeah but you would probably need a very powerful spring or a large one at that powered by a very heavy rotor to turn your wheel axels to a decent speed...also, imagine the type of transmission those cars would require to control the elastic potential energy released from the spring. I see what you are assuming here but watch mechanics simply are not feasible on cars. It's cool to imagine things but then lets all come to our senses and face the reality that not everything we imagine is possible, logical, or can be applied to certain manmade objects.
