I wonder if the reason the titanium buffs out is that uncoated titanium quickly acquired an oxide patina.

Yes this is raw titanium grade 5 , I believe if it was super titanium (like in citizen or seiko) I think it would not work

Would the scrubbing not remove any top coating? I am looking at this watch and the one with orange band. I am also looking at the All Dial chronometer titanium also but waiting to hear back from Mido if it has 80 hour power reserve. 1 dealer said yes in Toronto and 1in Vancouver said no.

I have the mido ocean star steel model and the mido quality is better than the seikos.The ocean star quality is up there with omega seamaster.The Mido is truly underrated.

strong lume for about 6 hours , however the lume pip on the bezel is lacking
