Watching the Glads on Eich (especially with the dive you pointed out) gives me shades of 2021 Shanghai - stupidly good map control, hyper carry performances/clutches when needed, living through tons of stuff because people are generally in the right place at the right time. As long as they keep it up, they're golden. Hopefully more teams put it together (Spark, Fuel, Dragons) so there's more awesome matches like this.

Truth. Shu has been crazy since entering the league, FA seems to conclusively be the best Lucio with LJG cooling off, and Skewed continues to prove themselves.

He is the Brig specialist for Glads, but there are definitely other brigs that can play on his level, and have better stats than him in certain categories. Yveltal, LeeJaegon... even Violet have all put up similar numbers as Skewed. He is pretty darn good though.

Mikey was 94 to get mines, while the only ones pushing cart were a trans-less zen and Ana with nano. Proper got Ans half health and forced him to reposition. Finn forced recall from Kevster. I think that if mikey had gone up the bridge (and kept his health full) then slammed + a little more dmg, he would've mined the point. With Finn downstairs and proper close by, plus so many cooldowns forced from glads dps it looks very winnable to me.

Personally in terms of the Venom Mine Balance Conversation, maybe if someone on another team shoots the mine, the "poison" damage could affect the widow that placed it. But if it goes off normally, then it works as usual. This would encourage players to use the mine as intended, but also doesnt get rid of this tech, however introduces a drawback still. I think people could still use the tech, but now theres at least a reward for the other widow. There has to be some kind of punish, and while the arguement of shields/turrets/mines, etc those abilities don't affect that specific heroes gameplay in the way that this tech does for widow. So somethings gotta change

Let's be honest, at the beginning of the series shock played worse than their upper bracket match, and glads played better. Shock were starting to wake up towards the end... But the map picks were also throws.

In other esports you can fight for the top from any spot by proving yourself. But in ow theres this cabal of teams that paid for their spot and now have a chokehold on the scene. Only if you're picked up by one of them can you be reasonably employed and there've been so many times when a top contender team could beat a lower end owl team maybe even make dream runs deep into a tournament. It keeps the scene fresh and allows true competition instead of what seems like artificially generated hype

The OWL cast are sooo biased on Proper. To me I think kevster is easily the better dps player. While I think proper is the best tracer in the league personally, I think the league had rides this proper best flex dps agenda. I haven't seen him put on clinics on any other hero. Shock plays bad teams like titans he plays genji or sojourn and gets a 4k and the league goes crazy like he just did that to a top team. I just feel the league is super biased towards pushing this shock rebirth agenda. Even using the stats from last year a completely different shock to make them break the 2019 shock's record. When 2019 shock did it all in one year.

Personal opinion: Proper isn’t the leading MVP candidate because there isn’t one. I genuinely think it’s been too close between 3-4 top runners which proper IS one of. I think it’s too close between Kevster, Proper, Profit/Smurf, or (maybe) Lip. After the summer showdown someone’ll probably be THE frontrunner

The thing about people saying that last fight on Dorado is a "c9" too is that, what was Mikey at half health, discorded going to do except die in a second on cart, then what would proper who was also half HP going to do, except the exact same thing? Those are your 2 touchers in this situation..everyone else is not a point contester. Widow, Zen and Ana are not going to be point touchers in that situation honestly. And they all would be shot by Ans while trying to touch. People are so stupid sometimes.

Something I’ve seen no one say is that Shock almost certainly have the highest ceiling of any team. They have a bunch of clear misplays and problems in this series, and they’re still a fight away from a map 7 against a highly experienced team. All the problems I’ve seen seem to be ones you can fix. Bodes well for the rest of the season imo

I've got to say I'm so tired of hearing the "LuCiO aNd MoIrA iS jUsT a ThRoW cOmP".... it sad seeing people who consider themselves as analysts saying this. Dallas does it on a few maps and fail at it, but they also fail when they play other back lines. Dallas just isn't good. Both the Shock and Reign would often use a Moira/Lucio backline, especially on Lijiang Tower and had an almost 100% win rate with it, but still you get smooth brains who don't understand the reasons that they are pulling it out and then call it a throw..... and again and again it proves to work. Also people who say Custa is simping Shock hard.... its because the Shock looked like the best team. They were amazing, but they made more mistakes and Glads took it away in the Grand Finals. That said Shock has a much higher ceiling, and will very likely crush Glads their next meeting. Also also, people dont seem to know what a C9 is. It is NOT when a team could maybe, possibly, have a chance of winning and not touch the point. It is when a team has ALREADY WON, or will without a doubt win the fight, and then step off the point.

Mikeyy would’ve had to give his life for that point given the position of everybody. So they start at a 4v5 with a potential of proper getting a kill onto ans, meanwhile shu kevster and Reiner all live and shu has 2 great nano targets with the back line being a little out of position from having to run back from spawn
