As a Jets fan, I'd probably consider giving Quincy Williams a bump up too. I don't think he's playing better than last season, but I think him consolidating his status as a pro bowl level LB with no CJ Mosley on the field to tell him where to go and with everything crumbling around him is really impressive. I'd also give DJ Reed some love, he's unfortunately been better than Sauce this year!

Huge fan of Mike McDaniel and his mad scientist creativity. I think he deserves some criticism for this year though. Tyreek and waddle damn near obsolete and a dude we hold to such a high offensive mind should be able to do more with a backup qb. He’s not really a ceo type of coach so his X’s and O’s need to shine through even more.

Im sure you know this but i wanted to say it just in case. Awareness in madden doesnt actually do anything besides act as an easy way to slide up and down the ovr. Its basically a way for EA to inflate the numbers to please the masses without actually changing how the player will play in game. I like the "rpg like" aspect of treating it as if it actually means what it should however it wont change what the player does on field.

Would like some context from someone who knows football better than me, does cornerback play just vary wildly from game to game and season to season? One minute Sauce Gardner is the best corner in the NFL the next minute his play is average? imo Jalen Ramsey would go through some of these same swings 35:23

Yes, volatility isn't just expected at that position, it is effectively guaranteed. Picture it like hitters in baseball, but if a baseball season only had 16 games like football has. Even the games best hitters might have a bad "season" if a season were just 16 games.
