EPIC!!!! Whatever it takes to take care of the customer!!! Just went thru a variation of this with a LR RR Evoque 2018 another shop made the car inop by adding a key with a ….. 608 , for real!! I was thrust into the realm of advancing the purchase of a OBD doip for l rover communication. Used correct software, 2 new keys i sourced and poof the car was fixed You’ll have a customer for life and pry a new mgr from the dealer if they’re not careful as he seemed concerned about the customer. One can imagine why he’s not there anymore but I think bureaucracy played a hand in it… CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIPS are ever so important anymore these days and dealers are realizing it more and more!!!!

Dang it Bobbie!!! The runaround most likely has cost the dealership at least one repeat customer. I own a Kia built car via Ford Festiva of the 1993 vintage. I'm glad it was built pre-complicated B.S.

I went through this trying to get new engine for a recall. They told the wife she had cracked oil pan and was run without oil. We have a garage there was never anything on the floor. After a phone call they gave us new engine and rental car 3 weeks. Dealership is shady.

What about the pulled out brass thread inserts (bushings)? Did you end up replacing the lower intake again?

unfortunately the vps sensor is not gonna fix your problem.to fix your problem you will need to replace the lower intake because.there is a rod inside the intake to move, let's say, the bank 2 of the runner.if you look closely the actuator is on one side and the sensor on the other side.if you remove the actuator and move the rod only one side of the runner are going to move.the rod between side 1 and side 2 is broken

Not on this one, maybe on some, but this one had a lower put on it, because of techs that guess based on Ididntfix hits or their repair experience rather than understanding how a system works, then diagnosing the exact car in front of them. We have people saying certain things fix cars and unloading the parts cannon, 100 of these cars get fixed with a lower but rather than guessing you can diagnose it and fix 101 of them.

I can "In car rebuild "one of those in about 6 hours, use the Blue bearings if it spun a rod. Many were built to loose..... Blues (code) are the tightest, plasti gauge of course.

Dealers are horrible! My wife took her 2022 Hyundai Tuscon back to the dealer she bought it from (2-1/2 hours away) with an intake temp sensor performance code. All they did was clear the code and tell her the oil was 1/2 quart low. Of course, the code came back after she got back home. If it weren't a warranty issue, I'd get it fixed locally. Taking it to a different dealer next week that's only 1-1/2 hrs away.

Just checked, Oklahoma is a one party consent state which means the caller can consent and record without the other party being aware. Here in Canada it's one party all across the country. This also holds true to recording conversations in person. Not sure in Oklahoma but here in Canada for example if you start recording a conversation without the other parties knowledge and then leave the room not taking the recorder with you and it's still recording other parties conversation then this would be an unlawful act.
