a couple little things that maybe helpful is if the dog is going to be collar conditioned go ahead and start putting the collar on the dog doesnt need to be turned on but just gets the dog used to having on when training and second that may help with a snappier sit and heel is a Delmar Smith Wonder Lead it is like a choke chain but instead is more like a springy rope (tighten when snapped (correction) but will return back to it original shape soon as you relieve the pressure) and you can use it if the dog is lagging behind surging in front and the best is when they get a little to far away from your leg or they want to hug your leg. also works great for a quick snappy sit and it being about 8ft long you can start to get the "sit stay" and correct the dog quickly if they start to stand up.

One thing I would say is maybe get s choke chain on the end of that check cord. The cord is good but ina loop that is tight all of the time the dog has a much much harder time learing when pressure is on and when its off, this also helps them transition to lead less heel work because they will understand pressure only occurs when they are out of position vs. having in always squeezing the neck and the a tugging motion. Just what I was observing.

It does give slack. Choke chains are good but we just stick to Chris’ methods

@@MidValleyMercenaries its the same choke chains just slip easier the rope has lots of friction and its not as snappy. Good to know its giving slack though was hard to tell on the video.

A word to use instead of kennel could be crate. I’ve heard dogs learn in syllables not words. So single syllable words actually increase their capacity for more commands.

Awesome training videos I'm doing akins with my 5month lab too. Just FYI on the dog food if you do a little research on pet nutrition and how to read labels that brand of dog food wouldn't make my top 10.
