Wish I would have seen these comments before I bought this. Both door and back panel are stuck and won’t unfold to assemble. You would think after 10 years this would have been fixed.

Okay the fact that I needed this video proves it is not that simple. On mine, the top latches on the door piece are closed around the back door piece so I can't lift up either door from their collapsed state!

I had similar problems when mine arrived as I think there's quite a bit of shifting of the sides and bottom that takes place when it's shipped. However, moving pieces back and forward a bit, using the video to see where they were supposed to be, I was able to adjust the pieces. Even with these issues, it only took about 15 min. to "unstick" and assemble. Nicely designed!

If you are seeing this , do the first step and then use force pulling it up from every angle you can

mine ( all of them are the same basically. ) harbour freight came with3 sides already done. however the last 2 pieces ( back and front with door) were JAMMED tighter and i tried to muscle it. What i suggest is turning the cage in multiple positions so to let it bend a bit ( not much) , it should slide up and without force. i will tell you after beating the crap outta it to loosen it..this is one strong cage!!

The clips on top of the front door are stuck on something. The door will not pull upwards into place. It's stuck down in the folded position.

@@mattchu42069 Thank you for the reply. Yeah, I've cut my fingers like three times now trying to do that. I'm at the point now where I am going to use a pair of pliers to bend those latches back in order to separate the two panels.

I guess the rolling hinges that hold up the pieces together are designed very specifically to allow for certain types of movement. I never paid much attention to them but I think if I did I would have an easier time overall. Also it’s possible they can get squashed over time and you might be able to tweak them a little bit with a screwdriver carefully. I also think the end panel that has the door is much less rigid and more flexible if you open the door before trying to flex the hooks on and off.

Once u get the hang of it it’s pretty convenient and a good size super cute color too a true pink not hot pink the handle is nice too just be careful when pulling the metals to attach keep you fingers on the outside perimeter

The door is stuck/hooked onto the back piece short of bending the metal I can’t see how to fix this. I wish I had found these comments before I purchased the product, I may have saved myself the hassle of returning it but unless I get a solution that is exactly what I will have to do.

I had the same issue. Look for the two hooks that are attaching the two sides together in the middle of the crate where the two panels are laying flat. Then literally pull them so the bottom panel won’t be attached. It seems impossible but mine just snapped out

How do you get the divider out of the cage? How do you pull the plastic bottom out for cleaning?

So what do you do with that locking device/clip when you open the crate? Does it just stay there as a hazard waiting to be stepped on? I just got the crate so I was just wondering cause it’s weird . I actually just had to remove it with some pliers cause our little puppy would just want to bite it. Poor design in my opinion. There has to be a better way to design a clip or hook that only gets used when you fold for travel

I just watched another video about this crate. That is a latch to lock the tray in. You move the latch to remove the tray for easy cleaning.

Mine was completely stuck under the part that lifts to the back. I was literally pulling so hard and it wouldn’t budge. Needed to shift things around to get it unstuck before it would lift up

Wow, I'm brain damaged and this is still simple to me. Unfolding or folding it back up. My brain damage effects my vision, thinking, and motor-controls. I have two of these for three cats. Had to use one in a rush to take one cat to the vet. Worked great. Plus all three cats want to be in these. I understand the kittens since they have been living in a cage, but my older cat is eight years old. Just crawled in and went to sleep. At the vet, he went back into it as soon as we were through with him.

Well...I got the larger 3 tiered cat pen, and it is jammed together so tight, I will need a crowbar to get the walls apart. Those locking hooks should be wrapped so they don't lock together. I worked on it for two and a half hours and can't get them to unlock...sorry I ordered this product because it's way too heavy to repack and return.

I'm kind of surprised at the comments about how hard this thing is to put together. I didn't experience that at all. I did have to watch the video four times before I realized that the first step is when you pull the first part up it has to lay totally flat on the ground before you can pull it to the stand-up point if that makes sense. It's kind of hard to see some of the stuff as far as what's holding what piece down because it's all black. However, once I figured out that I had to lay that first part flat, it was super simple to put together. It really took no effort. My only issue is that there are no instructions that tell me what to do with the plastic handle in the plastic clips that are in the bag. I'll have to go back through the directions. Maybe I missed it.

What about the plastic pieces that come in the bag? It looks like two plastic handles and two plastic clips. The directions don't mention what to do with these, or maybe I missed it.

I was able to assemble the crate, hooray for me. But, I want to disassemble it, and I can’t do it without losing several fingers. Help! The directions to just reverse what I did putting it together are not working. I can’t get the clips on the top to move enough so the door can be pushed inwards. Help!

This is horrible. It is almost impossible to put this together. I am having the same problem that Brianna had, even a bit worse. Horrible. My pup is coming on Friday and this is not simple.

I put crate together fine, but there is an extra wire panel sitting on the plastic pan that's not in the video or instructions, and won't be comfortable for my dog. This extra wire panel is 3/4s of the length of the plastic pan and slides, but isn't a divider. Anyon e have this extra part and can explain to me what it's for, or how to extract it without cutting through the metal?

Elizabeth here again. So I watched a you tube video and was able to disassemble the crate. But, it was not easy, as the top clips do not just slide back. They are curved downwards, so it was quite hard to do. Just saying...

I'm having trouble getting the "stop" on the top of the cage over the door and back. I can see that the crate in the video is a little more malleable than the one I have - not a bad thing - very sturdy. But I'm wondering if there's something I'm missing that will make it a bit easier?
