You can always put "grippy" covers on the M-lok slot and solve the slipping issue on the MW and there are some amazing ones to choose from (thank you AR15 market). BUT if you have large hands (ie long fingers) I agree the Ranger point seems the best choice

Good overview of the two style. I'd add that the RPP handgaurd is actually 3 separate panels screwed together and I believe the Midwest is a solid piece. Not a deal breaker though, when I received my RPP I had to tighten down the screws, thus got a better panel fitment. Love the RRP, she gets looks at the range for sure!!

With Midwest's updated handguard, does that solve the issue of the hot barrel? Now the rail runs the full length of the handguard. The full length rail also attaches to the top of the receiver AND the handguard near the muzzle. So it looks like it should be sturdier than this version.

I so wish this video came out a week ago. My Midwest handguard arrives today. I had no idea Ranger Point made a handguard. I own a Marlin 1894 CST .357. My Hoptic quiver arrives Monday. Will the quiver mount on the Ranger Point handguard in the same location and orientation as on the Midwest handguard. Huge fan of you videos! Doing most of the same modifications with exception of the lever and loading gate change outs. Wrapping my lever with a nice black paracord weave and my loading gate is good and I found an alternate solution to make it even better (partially loading empty brass with loading gate held open). I will keep watch! Especially the CST VIDEOS!

You make an excellent video. Very informative and great tutorials (removing Henry's forearm). BUT... I can see you purposefully NOT wrapping your fingers around the RP like you did with the MI handguard. Just before they are about to go over the top you bend them so they don't. And you are right. Those are some LARGE hands. But I see some wood furniture lever actions in the background on some of your videos, so you must make them work. I went MI. I almost ordered a RP handguard, but they would not return my email or voicemail and I wanted to clear something up before placing my order. Then I called Midwest Industries. MI's TS and I had a lengthy (too lengthy actually, as I had something else to do) conversation on the telephone about all sorts of stuff. More than I even asked him about. And now that they have those M-LOK panels, you can get yourself that larger grip some people need. Love the looks of their new stock, too. Ordered one the day they were released with the shell plate. Based on customer service alone, Midwest Industries for the win. Now that my Henry is complete I'll be building a R95 using their components in a week or so. It's nice to have choices.

A tactical lever gun is perfect for hunting with a light or for home defence if you don't or can't own an ar, basically the next best thing and better than a bolt action for close hunting, it's pretty handy as an all round farm gun with those quick follow up shots..
