The Mustang guy later said that "it must be down on power" - you can't tell anything about these cars in a video when you don't know anything about them. Frankly, most people aren't stupid enough to lie(real deal grudge guys don't count lol) about their numbers on the same video they're going to be racing in; it's not like you look good if it doesn't "look" like your car makes that power in a race

@@marsvortex5271 I raced a 630whp CTSV with a 600whp C6Z and gapped him good. So when the “600whp” CTSV raced through 550whp C6ZR1 I expected the ZR1 to gap him. When he didn’t. I was like someone’s lying. Also watched both races again to see how the ZR1 shifted. Didn’t seem to be an issue hitting gears. It’s all good. Just build it faster abs try again.

@2jz 240sx he only had intake and pulley. Literally the most basic you could be with those cars. Termis have a lot of potential and a blower swap will instantly put you in 700+hp territory, even on sbe

About 12 years ago I went in a 1000+hp R32 GTR down the M4 highway in Sydney Australia. Hit over 300kph a few times and got from Parramatta to the Blue Mountains in about 8 minutes was the ride of my life.

That R35 GT-R is making about 700hp. He just short shifts to not fly past thouse 500-600 hp cars. And the white 5.0sc mustang with 700hp is definetly down on power, looked like 550ish. But the guys still did a great job and it was fun to watch.

Yeah those rb26 transmissions aren’t the best with 1000+ which is why it’s worth going sequential. Just a lot more rowdy with the fast and aggressive shifts. Light car as well so it moves.

Don’t get me wrong, I love the outrageous vehicles w/ nasty 4 digit HP #’s, but this video is pure nostalgia. It seems like not long ago the 5, 6, 700 HP cars were kings of the streets. Nowadays if your not pushin at least 1,000 HP then you’ll be left behind. It’s crazy that I dont get that little mind numbing tingle anymore when I hear, “It’s got 1100Hp to the wheels.” 4 digit #’s have become the normal now so, it’s kinda nice to throwback & watch a group of 600+/- HP racing.
