@roaddog7542 well said, I remember my parents never said a word to me about playing drums for ((hours)) on end. It was a complete obsession for me. I also played golf at a 3 handicap in high-school and played football as well. I was truly gifted and all SELF TAUGHT. I also ran track and worked as a lifeguard every summer in college at UNIVERSITY of Florida at the Gator Cycle bike shop. I never stopped as a young man and got to play in many bands. Music and drumming are still my passion, but it was my parents that said they loved hearing me play everything. I played from the 60s-90s and country! I have an appreciation of it all. My mom passed in April 2024 but I'll always remember her loving my playing. Thanks again to all your parents. R.I.P. Mom 👩
