Glendale Councilmember Lauren Tolmachoff of the Cholla District highlights one of Glendale’s education jewels, Midwestern University, on her new edition of the TV show “Glendale Today.” Councilmember Tolmachoff’s special guest is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Midwestern University, Dr. Kathleen Goeppinger, who discusses the history of the university and the economic impact it has for the city.
Councilmember Tolmachoff and Dr. Goeppinger talk about the 17 healthcare degrees offered, allowing students to become osteopathic physicians, podiatrists, dentists, veterinarians, optometrists, pharmacists and clinical psychologists and other healthcare professionals. Viewers also learn about university clinics offering the public medical exams and treatment at affordable rates in areas such as family medicine, osteopathic manipulative medicine, podiatry, clinical psychology, speech-language therapy, dental and orthodontics and vision. Another show highlight is a tour of the new companion animal clinic, which provides care for your household pet including diagnostic imaging, surgery, dental and senior pet care.
