We used a lower end Meike keyboard for our marching band show one year. Our director picked it because if it got broken or lost we wouldn't be out much money! lol

haha, sounds like the director is a practical thinker

Count me in the ignorant market who accidentally bought one of these :P However... I use a sound canvas via the MIDI and listen through PA, and I found a hidden feature on the board, and was able to add a proper sustain pedal as it has a momentary switch for sustain on the circuit board which is just not connected - On the back @7:50 there is a spare socket space next to the MIDI jacks which fits a 1/4" socket perfectly once you press the cover out. Thanks for the entertaining review

If I have to buy keyboards with price range 15-70$ just to have sounds like that, that's a big no. I would rather save atleast 150$-200$ to have a keyboard with a decent piano sound. That's why I have the Yamaha PSR-E363, maybe cheap but the piano sound is decent. But I wish I went to E463 for pitch bend which is better for a keyboard solo.

I've come across your channel recently and started watching it for Casiotone reviews since I want a CT-S500. However, I was surprised that you made a video on this keyboard as well. I know someone in a small band - they play for birthday parties and their keyboardist uses this thing :) I saw a video of them performing a cover of a song and I found it excellent (I also knew about this keyboard today from looking at the keyboardist's Facebook account), but I could hardly hear the keyboardist play lol. My pitch bend-less non-arranger $100 keyboard of a different brand has sounds just like the one on this unit and I really want to break free from using it

I always get a good laugh when you played the Strings sound, or even the Synth 2 sounds since they were repeats of previous sounds. Seriously though, some sounds are plain weird looking at the display. Such as synth sax, or metal 1 and 2???

That’s crazy, how they repeat simultaneously, and give names for example, a synth sounding like an Oregon. LOL. It sounds like they are using Microsoft’s Wave Table Synth Generator.

Do you think so? But it's sooo awful... I guess it could just be a really poor quality re-sample. GF
@lamarcusbrown38185 жыл бұрын
Gearfacts yeah, I think so. Because, if you actually listen, the only difference is in the key tones. Some other keys, sound a little bit customize, however, it is the exact same thing as Microsoft wave table Synth. I know it is a bit hard to explain, but in my personal opinion, that’s what it really sounds like to me. LOL
@spahndirge5 жыл бұрын
That is one poxy keyboard. Was it my imagination, or did the vibrato and sustain settings actually change the basic sound timbre? Sounded like a different preset with each setting. PS. I believe EOS is the acronym for “Eater of Souls”.

3:43 Looks like they gave up faking instrument titles for the reused instruments at #91, where it just becomes...Chinese? 7:44 Also, you misspelled "MEIKE" as "Mieke" in the title.
@gearfacts5 жыл бұрын
Ahhh so I did, thanks for pointing out that mistake. Also I think they started re-using the sounds quite a lot earlier than 91 ...but that pitch bend is so good ...what's going on here???
what's more funny the same bad tiny and distorted sound is on the headphones

@psat185 жыл бұрын
Well you'll get what you paid for. To compare a $50 keyboard with a $500 keyboard is making your self look stupid. I personally think for the price tag, it is a very good item. Check out the higher gred by MEIKE and it will amazed you. $150 keyboard is nothing less quality compare to a $500 professional keyboard
@keyhoarder Жыл бұрын
The reasonable price tag for this piece of trash is 0. Im not a snob at all. It's a trashy scam keyboard, i wouldn't buy or recommend to anyone else something that was made with a flaws and bad intentions, to fool customers, with stolen sounds. And it's a long history with this company. Everything is bad.
