Hi, I've got a Miele jubilee SC and I can't find how to child lock the panel buttons not the door. Is there a way to do this ? My kids keep pressing the buttons and restarting the washing cycles.

Where would one position metal drinking straws? We have 4 of these that I used to stand up in a tray with our older dishwasher. Now I'm not sure how to wash those in my new Miele

Hi Ted, good question. You can always purchase a spare cutlery basket for this purpose. With the basket you'll be able to stand the straws upright. Otherwise, we recommend hand cleaning them.

Miele got rid of their removable bottom racks. Apparently people were too stupid to figure out how to put them back in properly causing a lot of support calls.

I have this brand of dishwasher at work which is a diamond model. It’s not easy to use all until a coworker accidentally opened it when it was running. Lesson is, don’t open the dishwasher when it’s running. No one should wackily close it like a ninja, because the handle may dent easily.

Our fully integrated Miele dishwasher stopped working and Miele wanted almost 1k to fix it. I expect that the machine should last a lot longer. The reputation and quality for lasting 20 years is obviously false advertising and a bunch of baloney. You can’t get any deals on new machines and only Miele can fix them at absorbent prices. Very unhappy with their product and support attitude.

I have a 2 year old Miele dishwasher. The seals on the top and sides don't seal and there's heavy hard water built up. Everything I wash has soap residual. Try getting a cup from the dishwasher and shoot water in it. There's soap bubbles. If you rinse the cup a few times, the residual soap washes away. How toxic is drinking out of these cups and using utensils and everything else everyday for decades. What does it do to our health by digesting soap chemicals? I also have a 2 year old Miele refrigerator and freezer. Beautiful design but in the summer time, the freezer pressure relief valve freezes up and the refrigerator bottom drawer rubs hard against the platform above. Also the refrigerator and freezer height adjustment mechanism stripped and no longer works when the installer was installing it. The one year warranty took care of that. It seems Miele focuses on the design more than engineering similar to Samsung

I just got my grandma’s Denby stonewear plates and while they fit vertically, they are apparently either the incorrect shape or too wide to fit in the lower rack. Aggravating. I don’t understand why dishwasher makers don’t test common dish brands.

From my experience with the G7000 models, Miele needs to focus attention on their middle basket. It is not laid out well and very difficult to fit glassware, especially highball glasses. You essentially have one row for tall glasses, the other row for glassware is missing support tines causing the glassware to rock against each other while washing. Additionally the area reserved for small bowls and saucers protrudes into the one row available for tall glassware, making loading both types together impossible. I love Miele’s top and bottom racks, but Bosch’s middle rack is far superior.

Hmm, I'm not too exited about this video, unless you have this particular model it is not very helpful. I looked at the manual and that too is not very user friendly unless you've got a tech. brain. it is a little like a Jumbo cockpit... You've got all the part and button displayed with a number. Then the manual wanders around with not numbers reference. There is a clock icon on the digital display you can add or decrease time with... but this is for delay start! We used the washer and somehow got a 3 hrs run!) Then there is a pie chart icon it seems to be for shorter time but it also seems it's a fix time (like this way or the full program! I'd think most house hold use their machine for a full meal and it would be nice to have a user choice besides rigid programs. and better choice in the time we want to use it with shortening or lengthening according to our evaluation. Then if we like a program so be it. It also recommends to turn off the water intake when long periods of time are between each use, like during extended holidays. We use it in average once a month I'd say, so we should turn the water off all the time then! The previous one lasted some 25 years and we had none of that nonsense. It only started to blow the fuses now and then...

They don't take big bowls or oddly shaped dishes and you need specific dishes to fit properly. Never had a dishwasher like that. Plus they never dry. Overpriced.

@@TheAllMightyGodofCod Why the dishwasher is overpriced. Nothing fits unless you buy specific dishes and they are never dry without leaving them overnight with the European drying system they have. The dishes are not any cleaner than other brands either. I'm selling mine and won't look back.

Buy an LG. These Miele machines are overpriced garbage with poor after sales service and expensive poor quality parts. They are trading on past performance and are not reliable or long lasting.
