Dude! You are a lifesaver. 2 year old Miele making a weird noise. I was raging thinking it had just slipped out of warranty and the pump was going. Thank you very much for helping me find the source of our noisy drain pump. I found two of the small utensil divisers ,from the top rack, in the drain system. One in the check valve section, the other in the impeller section. Removed the pieces, cleaned the parts and reassembledin ten minutes. Awesome video, easy tofollow instructions.

Thanks to this video I knew where to look so that I could diagnose the issue. There was an almond just beneath the impeller! This made a loud crackling sound during each cycle. Thanks very much, I was about to make a call to have the problem fixed.

For all those with a newer dishwasher (where you cannot set the water softener to 0), and if you follow these directions and still have an intermittent buzzing noise, considered whate I am about to explain. I got one of the newer 2019 dishwashers and started to notice a buzzing sound that lasts about 30-40 seconds at start up and periodically throughout the entire cycle. My washer was under warranty and had a technician come out and try just about everything. When this noise first started happening, the vendor of the washer asked, "are you putting in dirty dishes, or are you putting in soil free dishes." Told them that they were rinsed well, but not pre-washed. They stated that that was the problem. So after several months, no resolution in the noise. Then the technician came to the house and replaced the circulation pump, and stated that was the problem. Nope, no resolution. Then they stated that the dishwasher had to be run with salt, regardless if I was running a water softener (so I put salt in the reservoir). No resolution in the noise. The vendor stated that the noise was most likely caused by the dishwasher being hooked up to the hot water supply as opposed to the cold water supply (come on now, that is just ridiculous). Had the tech come out again, he listened closely to the machine during the phase it was making the noise, and noted that the noise was coming from the front left corner area. He called some tech support guru, and pretty much told him that he suspected it to be the salt solenoid valve. So he ordered that. The tech and I spent a good part of the morning replacing this solenoid valve (BINGO!) No more noise. After months of listening to this noise and without quick resolution to the problem, it has finally fixed. FYI, if you are experiencing this problem and your product is out of warranty, this is what is on the part box that was installed. Miele - Original Ersatzteil - Materialnummer 6 446 070. Menge 1ST. There are two bar codes as is follows: 002514115917 and 00646607000014. Made in Poland. The is some code on the solenoid itself as follows: 91324.02 19048TY. I am going to post this comment on every YT vid that indicates a noise (humming/ buzzing) on the Miele dishwasher. Hope this helps

Can the impeller be replaced? F11 error, won't drain. I replaced the non-return valve, but that didn't fix it. I think the impeller is missing one fin. It has 3, but it appears there may have been 4.

Likewise, thought I was a faulty pump, but after watching the video was able to get into the pump out and found an olive seed. Dishwasher is good as new and it saved me a service call.

Hopefully this is the problem with mine. I did find a small shard of glass in the bottom, beneath the perforated screen, so maybe there's another smaller one in the impeller sump.

I found hunk of stem from something, about an inch long. I also found one of the prongs from the flatware tray in the garbage disposal, which I’d noticed had broken off earlier in the week. Not sure which was causing the noise, but hopefully it’s quiet again. Thanks for posting the video!

Big thank you for the video! Miele insits I take a day off work to be there for the technician's visit. Not possible with 50% staff off or sick.
